Re: New rachet lock by ODL
Any possibility of a short video showing the lockup? Looks interesting. Facebook page with a few vids and stills. The vids on facebook were the original prototype. The production model is far slicker in operation with positive tactile locking of the ring in open and closed position. I will do a pro...

Yes, for the commercial market, it is the only way.
I have the manufacturing side sort of under control but the distribution, customer service and sales is nowhere near ready.

Re: New 3D prineted can for the 338LM , shot today
The 338 can shown above will be around 1300 NZD. That can is actually in the UK as we speak, along with several other sample parts. I am working at setting up a distributor over there now. Shipping costs are high due to ITAR so one part or 100 will be the same shipping price. After that the box dime...

Re: New 3D prineted can for the 338LM , shot today
Yes, poor compared to aluminium but better than inconel. I guess from a conductive standpoint, can aluminium dump heat faster than a high rate of fire can induce it? If not, what is the yield strength as it heats? How does titanium compare? While Inconel has poor thermal conductivity compared to alu...

Re: New 3D prineted can for the 338LM , shot today
I just got back from a workshop in Adelaide where I gave a presentation on this technology and may be able to clear up a few misconceptions about the process. When I first heard about "laser sintering" I was as put off as most engineers are since the perception is a course, porous structur...

Sound Testing Questions
On the test methods page a very good description is provided for connecting a 2209 to a computer via a sound card. What type of cable is best to use? Do you run a shielded cable and take the outer braid to one wire and the center to the other? I am looking forward to getting more data from sound tes...

If you want to meter your can, Kiwi, bring it over to Tauranga sometime and we can run them over the meter. Nice job on the build!

He said it is around 165 typically for a 14.5 inch but I am not sure he tested that day unsuppressed.57fairlane wrote:

Re: Tell me about New Zealand
Yes, you can walk into a store and walk out with a suppressor since they are unregulated. If you have a firearms license, you can walk into a store and walk out with a rifle & suppressor package. If you have a pistol license you can add a can to your pistol. You cannot shoot full auto unless it ...

Re: Printed titanium cans
Finally got an independent sound test done for the can in the video. So far one of the oldest cans has around 4000 rounds on it with a few mag dumps of 30 rounds in 6 seconds. It could clearly be quieter, but not too bad for the weight and length past the muzzle. Rifle: 14.5" M4 Ammo: American ...

Can't export to the states though so we will be looking for a company to partner with to install a machine over there when and if we get the patent claims approved.
