Re: Silencer on a gas delayed blowback pistol?
There were quite a few posts back in the day about people running suppressors on their P7's. AAC used to sell threaded barrels, but P7 barrels are pressed into the pistol's frame and changing the barrel out was a royal PIA. I'm wondering how hard with would be to replace the barrel on a CCP?

Re: PTR 91 supressed questions
I read somewhere (a long time ago, 20+ years) that to fire a HK91/93 type rifle suppressed you have to replace the rollers in the bolt head with smaller diameter rollers. This allows it to slip easier under the higher back pressure caused by having a can on. Now where you would find the information ...

Re: Remington R51
Well here it is over 4 years later and Remington still hasn't made a threaded barrel for the R51. I was about to make my own barrel with I discovered the R51 chat room and there was a guy that made some threaded R51 barrels. Here's the link to the company: https://www.dangerco.us/ They are $125. The spindle bore is 38mm which is NOT 1.5". I'll bet you money it will not accept a 1.5" OD tube.

Unfortunately, when Paladin Press went belly up, so did the availability of both of Al Paulson's two books as well as the silencer patent book by N.R. Parker.

Re: No DD dealer in this part of the state
You don't need a Type 10 FFL, a M203 receiver with no barrel is classified as a Title 1 firearm. It's not a DD until after you Form 1 it and add the 40mm barrel. I just went through this when I purchased a M203 receiver from a contract overrun at DS Arms.

I firmly believe that a crooked cop is one notch above or below (your choice) a child molester. That may sound harsh to some, but law enforcement personal hold a "sacred trust" with the people they serve. Break that trust and pay the consequences.

Re: Muzzle pressure comparisons in different 38 calibers
Can you use quick load to calculate muzzle pressure for m855a1 from a 20 and 10.5 barrel, 9mm +p+ 115 grain 5.2 barrel, 308 185 grain Berger at 2750 FPS from a 24 barrel, 30-06 berger at 2950 FPS from a 26 barrel, and the hottest possible 300 rum load from a 26 barrel? Thanks in advance. The short ...

Re: Caliber choice for TC Encore Pistol
What ever caliber you choose, I would highly recommend that you spend the $200 and make your frame a SBR. I did that to one of my G2 Contenders and intend to do so with my newly purchased Encore frame. That way you can slap a stock on it with any barrel length. A 10” 300 Blk barrel and a side foldin...

One of the requirements of getting a FFL is that you comply with all zoning requirements. That means your property will have to be rezoned for multiple use as opposed to residential. Depending on you jurisdiction, this my impose an increase in property taxes. Just something to think about.

Yes, they had a recall. You sent in your old R51 and they sent you back a new one, in a hard case with 2 extra mags. Fit and finish of the new ones was night and day better. I never really had any functioning problems with the old one.

Re: R51: potential as a silencer host?
This is the reason I bought the R51 in the first place. As a matter of fact I actually bought the can first, a Thompson Machine BDSD on close out for $202. The problem is Remington has yet to make the threaded barrel they promised, go figure. I've decided that if they haven't brought one out by next...

Re: thread pitch
I'd go with 28 tpi. So, assuming you have a lathe, and can cut internal and external threads, this is the route I would take. Using the formula TD (tap drill or tube ID) = MD (major diameter or thread size) - P (pitch of thread or 1/28), I'd fill in the information that you have. TD (.870) = MD (?) ...

Re: Is there an industry convention for threads?
I want to thread a barrel for a muzzle device, and while looking for the die , I see several types of threads: - UNEF - UNF - UNC - UNS - NPT I'd think UNEF would be preferable to allow a tighter seal. mbogo BTW all of these thread specs assume that you cut the threads on a lathe. Cutting barrel th...
