Re: Need host for 300AAC bolt gun for Veterans Non-Profit

I like my Ruger. I was thinking about the Remington when the Ruger hit the market, and at roughly half the price, it was kind of a no-brainer for me. Everyone who has shot it has enjoyed it, and I have no problem keeping everything in a 5" circle at 200 yards consistently. I don't recall where you a...

The axiom has virtually no FRP. I haven't seen the ascent.

I don't have one on an AR, but I really like my bumpfire stocks on other stuff.

Although I use them less since getting machine-guns.

Re: Am I crazy or will it ROCK?

I had a choice of getting an adapter from 18x1mm to 1/2x28, but I would have to buy a fixed piston for my Osprey 45 can without the booster. I have a fixed piston to run it on 300BO subsonic that's 5/8x24 already. The Osprey generally uses a fixed spacer, not a fixed piston, so it should just be a ...

It could be from the heat if you're firing very fast. The suppressor adds enough weight that barrel heating would be more pronounced with the can on.

If you must buy one of those three, get the larges one available. The micro lathe doesn't even have the ability to turn threads!

Re: .25 ACP Form 1 Can

I have a Beretta JetFire in .25 ACP that I want to thread and silence. I also have the itch to do a Form 1 can. My machining skills are non-existent, so I'll probably look at going the solvent-trap to silencer route. Can I use a C-cell sized tube for the build? In other words, will a tube built for...

It's an old thread, but the question of quiet .45 ammo is still there, so: I load H&G 185 grain SWC's over a light load (well under book minimum) of tight group, and still get reliable function as well as low recoil impulse and low muzzle blast. It's very quiet through a suppressor. For target prac...

Re: A-TEC CMM4(6) Rimfire Suppressor Lead Deposition

Maybe it's time to UltraSonic clean the lead loose and start a new Trial. Coating the internal surfaces with Li soap or DOT3 brake fluid to see if the combination causes the lead spatter to slide off of the surfaces and cool/harden so that it shakes loose as dust, instead of the molten lead clingin...

Re: Cleaning K-Baffles

Not talking about the outside dimension of the brass after sizing or fire-forming, rather it's thickness. Simple science tells me that very thin layers are being ground away from the brass when tumbled in stainless media. Actually, the SS pins are doing more to burnish the brass than to abrade it. ...

I didn't have the meter out when we were shooting 9mm through the isis2, but we also tried it on a .22 another day and it was onl...

Re: Do mfrs have to pay $200?

I was wondering, do manufacturers have to file a Form 1 and pay $200 for each suppressor that they build? Or is that covered somehow by their annual SOT? If they have to pay the same $200 as we do, how can Silencer Shop sell Radical Firearms rimfire suppressors for $211? There's not enough room for...

The court found in his favor, which set a precedent saying that it's the intent and not the capability th...

Re: Selling a Form 1 Suppressor?

You can sell Form 1 devices. Most people don't because the return is pretty low for most things, but between that and destruction, you can take a smaller loss. One of the big deals is that if the sale is out of state, then there are 2 tax stamps involved, so just like used suppressors on form 4's ar...
