Re: 15x1 and 5/8x24
To be clear, I have no intention of firing it the gun with the 5/8x24 endcap. I just thought it was strange that the threads were so close.

Re: SBR Denial
The same thing happened to me. I was SBR'ing a Spike's Tactical lower and listed the model as "AR-15" instead of "ST-15". It was denied, I called the examiner and chatted with him. I reapplied and e-mailed the new application number, it was approved the following morning. I comme...

15x1 and 5/8x24
I have an FN-49 in .30-06; from everything I've read the factory threads are 15x1 RH. I also have a Silencerco Harvester 30 that I'd like to use on the FN. The problem is that Silencerco doesn't make a 15x1 endcap, so I'm having to have a local machine shop 02/07 custom make a 15x1 endcap for me; no...

Quick question for those of us who are thinking about submitting at 5320.20 soon: How long did it take you to get a reply?

Sounds like you should have planned the conception of your son for the Fall, then his birthday would be evenly split with Christmas on the calendar and you wouldn't have these kinds of problems!

Harvester barrel lengths?
I just picked up a Harvester from my local dealer, I have a few different guns I plan to use with it and I can't find much data on appropriate barrel lengths for each caliber; I've seen that 300 WSM requires a 24" barrel and that 300 BLK can be as short as 8". What about .308 and 5.56x45? ...

My corrected form took all of a week to come back approved back in August.

Harvester threads
Hi, I have a Harvester .30 caliber in my dealer's safe and I'm planning for which thread caps to buy. It looks like all the current choices are SAE threads (1/2x28, 5/8x24, etc); will there be any metric threads offered in the future? Specifically I'm looking for 15x1 RH threads for my FN-49 in 30-0...

Re: Form 1 a lower trust legality question
You can pay for it either way, but when you fill out the 4473 to get the lower from your dealer you will fill it out in your name, not the trust name.

BS. This dealer is a tool. Did he ask you to kiss the ring and bow to his magical powers. Find a new dealer. Where are you? I am in Missouri. He is the only gun dealer in our county, and he told me that unless I want to drive up to Kansas City or St. Louis, he was only one within 100 miles that cou...

Very effective. My Octane 45 works great on my 9mm subgun and 9mm handgun.

I like it! Is it as reliable as a OEM 19? Have any pictures of the bolt and how the upper connect to the frame? I don't have any pictures, but this guy has a great video on how it goes together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYMCQyUVkMg It's reliable so far, I put a couple hundred rounds through ...

It's been a year in the planning stage, but the paperwork, parts and time all came together this afternoon to create something absurd and beautiful. With the stock collapsed it's 18.5" overall: http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b610/greg97220/NCM_0031_zps5350819f.jpg With an Octane 45 that ca...

Re: Liberty Mystic X- Video Review
Looks good! But I already invested in an Octane 45, a Sparrow SS and an HTG CoyoTi with paperwork in the mail for a Silencerco Harvester. The Mystic wouldn't do everything that the Octane 45 will do (namely .40 and .45), is longer and heavier than the Sparrow and won't do full-power .30 caliber like...

Re: Octane 45HD - I love it!
How much of the wire pulling gel did you put in and how did you apply it? I have been using mine dry for 22lr on a number of hosts and for 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP with LWD Glock barrels. Really happy with it but curious about trying the gel, any down side to using it? I bought some of the clear ...

Octane 45HD - I love it!
I had a chance to go out to the range yesterday and try out my new Octane 45HD. I used a bit of wire pulling gel in the blast chamber, spun it on to a Glock 19 with Lone Wolf barrel and Freedom Munitions 147gr reloads. Holy quiet! At 10' it was almost hollywood-quiet, hardly any noise at all! The st...

Well, that was quick. It arrived at the NFA Branch on Friday 8/22, was approved Tuesday 8/26 and arrived in my mailbox today, Saturday 8/30. Not too shabby, although I could have done without the coffee stain.

Re: Wait time after returning corrected form?
Thanks all. The problem is with the Trust name, the ATF interpreted my Trust Name to include the date it was signed. Which is silly. It's been that way for a while, but I just put the whole thing (name and date) on my Form 4's because, really, who cares? Except with this one they wanted me to engrav...

Re: Oil filter adapters?
Any 07/02 can change out the filter. So then, if a person were to use a 'solvent trap adapter' to legally build an oil filter suppressor on a Form 1 would that person be able to change the filter since they are the maker? Absolutely not! ATF rules state that only a "manufacturer" (07/02) ...
