Re: NRA files Chapter 11 bankruptcy, moves to Texas

The thing that I hate about this, is that currently this Corp is the oldest Civil Rights organization in the USA. :(

If they dissolve it and reform in TX, they can no longer make this claim. But I'm glad to have them here. :)

Re: Proposed NY Law Outlaws Body Armor

Whenever I hear about proposals like this (or GTA 1934) I always wonder how this would be applied if they followed through with this concept of outlawing safety devices.

NY and CA outlawing air bags and car seats? $500 Tax Stamp and 1 yr waiting list PER seatbelt restraint, helmets, car bumpers?

Re: Just a little something for fun

Put features in the reflex portion that inhibit flow, efficiency is worse still. You'd get more suppression out of a 5" K can. I agree. Pressure will take path of least resistance. The gas will exit quickly and only the microseconds in which the bullet is deflecting the gas outward, will yield any ...

Yes, it looks really great.

Do you plan to 3D print Titanium powder? I doubt that this could be machined. It's too intricate. (WOW, took me forever to spell that correctly using spellcheck. hahaha)

Re: Baffle Stack Advice

I have never seen a kit piece are they solid or a stamping ? https://i.imgur.com/NF8u2Ax.jpg I think that they are solids that have been machined. But the Chinese aluminum ones are stamped. I got a $20 kit 1"x6" for my .22 lr. They are 0.03" stamped pieces. Very easy to drill through, but couldn't ...

Re: Baffle Stack Advice

Yes, VSR or even freeze plug . Anything that will form a lip to retain gas and create a 'choke point' before the gases can exhaust. The heat and pressure near the Exit will be so low, that nearly any formable metal should be fine. Just not tin, lol  You could even braze a collar on with Ox...

Re: Baffle Stack Advice

Yes. That looks excellent. I imagine that the large volume at the end will be filled by the last endcap. Consider forming a small cone at the mouth of the endcap's exit hole. Just a small 1/4" lip will work great. The 1st is all that you need. The 2nd is a very fancy design. https://i1076.pho...

Re: Baffle Stack Advice

Just throwing this out there. I'd say 1 or 2 cones at first, and then the remainder radials. It makes no sense to have cones at front AND rear. Cones perform better under high pressure supersonic conditions. It also parts the blast wave like on a ramjet inlet. The radials are great, but the long "th...

I don't think that he has filed the ATF F1 yet. He's still in the planning stage, and looking for ideas. First is: are you looking at shooting subs, supers, a mix of both, cast, other calibers? It sounds like you are wanting to pin it to 1 host, to avoid the SBR stamp. You can purchase the outer tub...

Only if you are present and maintain 'custody' throughout the process. If they don't allow you to be present on the Shop Floor, then no. If you have a buddy come over and do it in your/their garage/home, then yes. No problem with that. This is the de Jure answer. But practically, what is the likelih...

Adding a dimple's like a k baffle increases performance and using them eccentrically makes a wonderful suppressor.

A 3/8" tube with alternating sections removed to vent gas. Have it slide through the freeze plugs or whichever "baffles" one wishes to use. Mount all to the muzzlebrake of your choice. Use a guiderod to center the works to bore. Or insert the central tube INTO the muzzlebrake's bore so that it has 3...

That just means that will create a new Cottage Industry of Form1 Kit resellers. People will show ONE F1 and then buy 20 kits.
