Re: Baffle K and M Type and Length observations

Have you thought of testing 2 M followed by the rest K? K is best at "working" low velocity, low pressure rds like pistol or .22 lr. Low tone DOES seem quieter. But it also carries longer distance from the shooter. So low tone is better for the shooting range, but worse for long range obse...

Only homemade F1s are under $200.

Reason: Overhead, real estate, capital improvements, government regulation, regulatory compliance, taxes/fees, lawyers, insurance, employees, etc.

Buy a $20 "fuel filter" from China and then make it yourself + $200 ATF tax stamp.

Scroll to the bottom of the gibberish, that is where the "results" are hidden. As for metals and thickness, it depends ENTIRELY upon the pressures, applications, fire rate you plan to use. For .22 lr nearly anything will work. Even plastic will stand up for quite a while if it's from a 16....

Being a former TDCJ-ID corrections Ofr, I can attest that these things DO sometimes happen. The issue becomes one of accountability. I only skimmed through the SCOTUS Ruling. Was the Respondent RIOJAS a CO3 or Sgt, Lt, Cpt, Warden? Typically it is the responsibility of the CO3 to report "unsuit...

Thank you so much for writing this Historian. I'm too close to this, and too emotional. Really any 300 Win Mag rated suppressor should be fine. If it yields 27 dB suppression or better, that is about the most that you can hope for in a centerfire supersonic magnum. I'm sure that the chamber, crown, long monocore, maybe bullet instability played a role too, but I couldn't test the barrel separately with a one stamp integral. If you test fired the rifle prior to shortening the barrel and adding the monocore, then you should have a baseline. The crown may have s...

Blast chamber vents into volume surrounding the monocore baffles.
Very simple design, easy to mill.
I'd recommend angling the monocore baffles, but that would add an extra couple of steps.
Otherwise, looks simple and I'd like to see how it meters and sounds.

It depends upon the material. But yes, some degrade over 10+ yrs.
Carbide plates don't degrade. And I'm still wearing the Armor that I bought back in the late 1990s. Fortunately, I haven't been shot yet.

Re: Suppressor Build Question

Capt Link is the expert here. But it seems that 0.065" thickness is fine. If you are able to turn the 0.087" to widen the ID after the blast chamber, you needn't insert the SS liner. But if you use the liner, then the thicker wall is useless, takes up volume, adds weight, etc. For ease of ...

Re: Suppressor Build Question

The butting refers to welding the SS liner into place within the Ti tube. This prevents uneven heating and pressure upon the Ti tube. (Prevents leakage around the ends of the spacer.) It isn't required, but it strengthen the chamber and prevents uneven stressing. (Like Capt said, the liner really is...
