Re: Newb Questions About Getting Barrels Threaded
This is one of those real hard maybe questions. I would never have a barrel threaded by someone who I did not have a long list of references on. It is way to easy to thread a barrel off bore which can cause damage to your suppressor. I'm lucky in that we have a gunsmith only 70 miles way that has a ...

700-X
Right now I load 38 SPL; 357 Magnum; 9mm Luger; 9mm Largo; 40 S&W; 45 ACP and 45 Long Colt as well as the 300 blackout all with 700-X. I also use it for 12 gauge target loads. It seems like a very vestal powder. The only draw back has been that it does not meter very well, but I use a single sta...

I've been running 700-X with a 230 grain FMJ and so far the blowback has been very minimum.

For my bolt guns I use a Slincerco Harvester, sound reduction is very good, and recoil reduction is also very good.

Re: Sig P6/225 + Mystic
The problem with the P6 is lack of a threaded factory barrel. I suppose you could find an aftermarket barrel that would be alright. That said an AAC TI-Rant suppressor would work just one on one.

300 blackout 150 grain subsonic load
I've been working on getting a 150 grain bullet to go subsonic from the 300 blackout. Now first of all I'm running this thru a Remington 700 bolt gun and as a result do not have to worry about it cycling the action. So with that in mind I tested a few different loads, but most of them if I got the b...

Re: Subsonic 9mm/45acp powder...
The 700X has been pretty clean I can shoot the entire day and the guns have just a very light coat of buildup. I just started to experiment with 700X and 150 grain bullets in the 300 Blackout with some very good results, in a 16 inch barrel suppressed it was super quite and very clean.

Re: TC Contender SBR Suppressed Caliber Choice
I've had two 30-30 barrels for my contender and to say the least they were not tack drivers. I swapped those out for a 30 Herret barrel and love that. But If I was going to do it today I think I would look at a 300 Whisper barrel.

AAC has a pdf file on their website of all the O-rings that theirs uses.

It took a couple of weeks after I mailed it in for the status to change from waiting on me to mail it in to the now, "We have received your submission and it is being processed." message. I really did not expect this to take so long, but the piston I need to buy with the credit is not in s...

Re: P220 & Ti-Rant 45 question
Yes I got them installed and they work great. Did have to buy a new sight installation tool however, the standard MGW Sig sight tool does not provide enough clearance to install or adjust the higher sights. I ended up ordering one of the new MGW Sight Pro universal tools, and that works just great. ...

I've shot a couple of boxes thru an AAC element2 it runs very quite, burns cleaner than most, and is accurate in both handguns and rifle.

Re: Ti-Rant 9S on 300 Blackout Subsonic?
When I checked with AAC on a Tirant-45 they said it was good to go with Subsonic 300 Blackout. However be very careful if you run factory Sub loads thru one. I bought a box of Hornady 208 Amax subsonic a few weeks ago and ran three thru the chronograph, they ran at about 1090 fps which is subsonic a...

AAC Piston Question
Wondering if the piston for a AAC Ti-Rant could be bored out and rethreaded to 5/8 X 24, there is only a 0.047 diameter difference between the .578 X 28 piston they make and the 5/8 X 28 so I'm thinking there should be enough meat on there to do it. Has anyone tried this yet, or is it just a bad idea.

Re: Ti safe solvents
A lot of the question is just how clean do you want it, to be honest suppressors are ok with a little buildup, you mostly want to remove the chunky stuff. For a good cleaning try soaking over night in Simple Green cleaner, Then take out and brush with a stiff nylon brush, then soak over night in Kan...

Re: Silencer Physics Question
It doesn't it has to do with the way sound moves, in the air the speed of sound is 1125 Ft/Sec. in water the speed is 5000 ft./sec. so sound waves moving from air thru water speed up by around a factor of 4. The bullet does not go any faster, just the sound waves that surround it do.

Re: Federal 45gn supressor ammo?
I found a couple of very overpriced boxes to try, shooting them thru an AAC element 2 can on a Ruger 22/45 Lite, a Sig Mosquito, and a Savage MK II FV-SR I would have to say the results were great. Very quite, cycled both the Sig and the Ruger, and seemed very clean. Problem is its very hard to find...
