Re: Montana Firearms Freedom Act
interstate commerce goes back to 1942 where the guy was growing his own wheat to feed his own farm animals. This went to the supreme court and the SC sided with the gov't saying by not participating in interstate commerce he was effecting interstate commerce, thus he was participating in it and its ...

Re: "No Machining Required" Form 1 Build?
Sorry, don't know how to post a pic. But if you scroll down to the bottom of this link, You see the 223 AAC can filled with 30 rounds of 300 blackout. Threads stripping, shouldn't be a problem as long as you totaled shoot thru the baffle. match the bullet speed with material of spacer and and there ...

Re: "No Machining Required" Form 1 Build?
Using rifle as a drill: That 1 baffle suppressor would not strip itself off a gun. And that aluminum or steel freeze plug would had very little transference of energy to it, as A rifle round melts it way through, and wouldn't strip off either. Have you seen the AAC m4 2000, shot with 30 rounds of 30...

Re: "No Machining Required" Form 1 Build?
I've researched these for military guys traveling abroad. You can leave usa with a kit of parts that fit together downrange in a war zone and leave the can there and not return with it. Some possible recipes: NOTE: some basic tools will allow a much cheaper and better option than these recipes, but ...

Aluminum Baffles! I was thinking of plug welding aluminum baffles at the 12,3,6,9 oclock on the aluminum tube and
doing away with the spacers to save weight. Do you guys see any problems with this?

Re: Nano and Abraxas Success! Finally!
Sound Report: The Nano, shot wet, on an M&P-9c, with 9mm 124 grain supersonic +P+, was quieter for 4 rounds than a 5" barreled 380 acp. Then gradually increased in sound until it reached normal pressure 9mm round noise level in 8 shots and leveled off. Dry it will bring +p+ and 357 Sig nois...

Re: The other Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
This seems to fall under the Supreme Court Thompson Centerfire ruling, where the SC said, that if there is 2 options available to the citizen, a legal option or an illegal option, the Govt, lacking any other evidence, shall assume the citizen would have chosen the Legal option. This was about having...

Re: The other Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
if you have a ported barrel for the suppressor...the barrel is not a part solely for use in making a silencer...it is also a barrel. So it wouldn't meet the technical definition of a "silencer" (def: a silencer, or any part SOLELY for use as in a silencer). The barrel could be exchanged. T...

Re: Can a serial number be placed on an end cap?
I have the same situation. Ti tube; aluminum endcaps. I've read ATF's recommendation a dozen times. I interpret it as saying that an end cap serial #'s isn't RECOMMENDED because if it's struck, you have to go thru the entire process of remaking and remarking the end cap "PART" (OMG!!)....t...

80% recievers
Probably belongs over at ar15.com...but i wanted you guys opinions. If you can buy an 80% receiver, but not an 81% reciever...it must be because ATF sees an 81% reciever as a gun. ATF doesnt allow anyone other than you to work on the gun. But when am i allowed to take my home finished reciever to th...

Re: Compact 40 caliber pistol suppressor
BTW, if you have reliability issues in your can, i have used the 180 grain subsonic 357 sig ammo from doubletap. its $1 per round, but it overcomes the sensitivity of some guns. i can run my micro cans on an M&P 357 compact with this ammo reliably. great for shooting snakes and carrying suppress...

Re: Compact 40 caliber pistol suppressor
Very nice. I have an Abraxas and a Nano. You can put twice the weight on the end of your gun by using a slightly longer barrel. The Glock 34 for example, will cycle my Abraxas with a Factory spring EVERYTIME. But the G19 will Jam everytime even with reduced power spring. See my thread below for spec...

Re: Nano and Abraxas Success! Finally!
The storm lake barrel is wicked accurate. I think it's actually a tighter chamber and some of the cheaper factory and remanufactured ammo doesn't fit it well. 1 in 5 remanufactured ammo will fail with light strikes. But totally reliable with factory barrel. I LOVE my storm lake. I am shooting clover...
