Fulliautomatix, My comment was directed to doubloon in a friendly joking tone lol. But I do appreciate the links to similar questions. I'm not the type to not want to show any paperwork to whomever asks. I would have no problems show anything to anyone. The question came to mind after being at diffe...

Re: Getting checked for legal silencer and stamp

I don't know what could even lead to something like that unless maybe somebody made reports that people were sh...

Getting checked for legal silencer and stamp
I've shot in many matches at public ranges, whether its 3gun or Field precision rifle and a lot of guys shoot with silencers and short barreled rifles(3gun). One person made mention that they keep their paperwork in their AR's compartment. Not a word about it from anyone else. So my question is how ...

Re: Thinking about getting licensed for NFA firearms
If your license is a LLC, corporation you can't just retain the inventory as a person. A transfer must be involved. if you are keeping the LLC just not renewing the SOT, then the LLC can remain the owner of the NFA item on the form 3 that was used to send it to you. if you disolve the LLC then you ...

Re: Thinking about getting licensed for NFA firearms
When a manufacturer of NFA firearms manufactures a firearm (silencer in this case) and keeps it in their inventory or as dealer sample do they pay for a tax stamp or only the transferee (if that's a word) upon purchase or transfer?

Re: Type 7 FFL filing form 1 questions
I would suggest going the trust route, one time lifetime deal. Putting in your LLC doesn't provide you with any advantage, depending on your state likely commits you to filling an annual report and pay a fee yearly, which your already doing now buy happens 5yrs from now when you close your llc beca...

Thinking about getting licensed for NFA firearms
Just posted a different question in silencersmithing section but I think this question fits here... Type 7 FFL filing form 1 questions
I tried sifting through other posts, maybe its been covered b4. I am licensed as a manufacturer of firearms (type 7) but not NFA firearms. I have a LLC that my FFL is in. I want to do the form 1 with my LLC name on it. When I do a form 1 for manufacturing a silencer I should put my licence # on it??...

Re: first round cold bore poi shift
80 yards, only the first round would hit 3 inches high. Shot again today after fixing the gas tube and problem solved. cold bore shot and consecutive shots all group in 1 inch. Hopefully this can help someone else too.

Re: first round cold bore poi shift
I know I'm getting away from "silencer talk" but I wanted give an update to what I have found. The syrac ordnance gas block raises the gas tube high enough to touch the yhm free float tube. I am theorizing that after one shot the gas tube heated up enough to change the harmonics or simply ...

Re: first round cold bore poi shift
Thanks for the advice, for some reason I was totally convinced it was a design flaw in my suppressor. took it off today and shot and the poi shifts in a similar pattern. No other rifle I have does this and precision rifles is my hobby. I'll try some things with the rifle I built it. Noveske barrel 1...

first round cold bore poi shift
What can cause first round or cold bore poi shift in a suppressor. My blk has repeatable 3-4moa vertical shift with cold bore, first round is high. Only the first shot, all others group about 1moa. After about 10 minutes of rest returns to first shot hits high. These are hand loaded sub sonic rounds...
