Re: Guns everywhere in Georgia
If it's true that police can't ask for a carry license without evidence of a crime, I am not so enthusiastic about that aspect of this new measure. Why? Why not? Do you think prohibited people should be able to carry without being checked by police? Why would you want that situation? Sometimes peop...

If it's true that police can't ask for a carry license without evidence of a crime, I am not so enthusiastic about that aspect of this new measure. Otherwise sounds good to me, though we carry in the airport outside of the security line up here anyhow; churches are frequent targets for nut-cases, so...

Re: Opposition rising to Colorado gun control laws
Good! Glad to hear it. Not ALL Dems are bent on being ridiculous on gun issues. Our own Washington State Dems have passed both pro-suppressor and pro-SBR laws in the past few years. It would be good if their colleagues would start to understand the concept that this party anti-gun anti-self defense ...

Re: Please help answer a trust/transfer question
This is a good learning moment regarding best practices for those of us not yet in this position: keep the trust(s) with the original stamp forms and purchase receipts in the same envelope, and have that envelope in a fire safe or regular safe / bank deposit box. I can't think of any reason to not h...

That energy issue is an interesting point. Maybe there could be a specific minimum terminal foot-pounds of energy at 100 yards and be done with it?

Re: Chicago PD, kicking butt
Soooo, the city with some of, if not THE toughest 'gun control' laws in the nation is actually having a spike in violent crime? How is this possible? And the mayor and chief are lying by cooking the books to make it look like the opposite is happening? All right, now we know what we're dealin...

Re: ATF NFA - Wait Time Is Now 15-Months (As of 2013-10-25)
One problem with the blanket wait time estimate is that there are individual regions with various backlogs. So a 10-month wait time for Texas probably won't translate into a similar wait time in North Dakota or Oregon. Now that the e-Forms channel has dried up, that volume will shift over to the pil...

Re: CTA baffle manufacturing
Confirming the posts above, that's their natural color. I do "paint" them with a very thin coat of Mil Com TW25-B after cleaning so the lead does not bond with the baffle metal. It really helps. Click Here. Did you have your baffles coated with NP3 or Electroless Nickel? I like the color. ...

Pennsylvania got it right in 1776.
Article I, Section 21
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
Nothing confusing or complex was necessary.

Pictures would really help. Until then my thoughts are tending toward a spacer that could shoulder up to the barrel on the gun side, and move the suppressor slightly away from the guide rod.

Nice. You can't beat Silencerco gear and customer service.
It's particularly ridiculous when you already have weapons and suppressors. Somehow, you're going to become Charlie Manson if you get one more silencer or an additional rifle? Makes no sense, logical or otherwise.

Re: Cleaning
Regardless of the method, whenever anyone cleans a .22 suppressor, lead is coming out of it, no matter the method. Brush, cloth, dip or ultrasonic cleaner. Lead is defined as a toxic substance, and just because it might be suspended in Hornady solution does not make it any less toxic than if it's in...
