Can't cut the thread off,,would make barrel too short. Do you think 1/2-28 would be strong enough? It is 5/8-16 right now and could be rethreaded to the 1/2-28. I don't really like adapters too much,,,,too much chance of stacking tolerance.

yep. I did not consider his because the threads are not on the end of the barrel,,,they are a few inches back. That makes it a hard suppressor to mount on anything else.

I ordered a 762SD yesterday. I checked the threads on my AR upper. They aren't standard (my luck). They measure out to be 5/8-16. Can AAC make custom QD thread attach for it without breaking the bank? Will they do it?
