Re: Sig MPX ... ?
Ok. The area that was confusing to me was that I can't seem to find the specific parts listed on the Sig website. I can't tell if my searching skills are weak, or if it's just a matter of an out-of-date or incomplete website. So calling them should take care of that? Great. Side-note: the UPS estim...

Re: Sig MPX ... ?
Ok I don't know whats the length for the mpx-p and not psb version. But yes the hand guard is very proprietary. I beleive they do no have any new handgaurds planned other than shorter ones for resale. The site doesn't show anything right now and won't for some time. If you call customer service afte...

Kinda? It stays clean as long as your end caps are on pretty tight. If they are not gas will go around the stack making the tube slightly dirty... But compared to the first version might and day difference.

Re: Sig MPX ... ?
Agreed. Hopefully I can purchase the 4.5 barrel as a part later. I expect to pony up a couple-hundred dollars for that if it is even possible. ... but then again, perhaps simply purchasing a longer hand-guard is the way to go, so that the silencer only pokes out a little bit. I really appreciate ho...

Re: quiet bullet trap
So the loud ding noise is because nothing is pressing against he back of the bullet trap. If you pack dirt around the back of the trap so its pressing on the back of the steel in the same spot where the bullet hits you get a thud and not a ding noise. Its simple and cheap. At least thats what I do. ...

Re: Best dedicated 9mm suppressor host
Well I'm finally gonna be receiving my 9mm Octane soon! I realize that ammo and suppressor are gonna make the biggest difference in sound, however the host does play a small role in it. I currently have a 9mm 1911 and a few 9mm glocks. I'll probably end up getting a threaded barrel for one or two o...

Re: New SilencerCo Octane vid
They get an additional 4db reduction, firing 9mm from Octane 45, by putting 9mm end cap on. here As commented on by other forums. Can the user do that? I get that silerncershop can get away with that but can a non manufacturer do that? For the longest time the ATF said that was a silencer part. Mag...

Re: Has anyone on here actually "shot out" a silencer?
There are photos from years back of some pistol cans with aluminum baffles that were worn out by a short number Winchester white box clean ammo. In a few the second baffle had additional holes in it and the main hole was 2x the size of the stainless steel hole. As for filled up cans if you don't tak...

Re: Best all around rimfire suppressor for my hosts?
Anyone ever tried the Tactical Solutions Axiom? Said to be quietest and lightest. Also rated for 5.7. Silencershop recommended it, not sure if anyone has exp? Considering buying that one for my 17hmr. Your limitation is the round being super sonic. 17hmr will have a sonic crack with any suppressor.

Re: Squeaky, high-pitched-sounding silencers
I can hear some squeak like sounds in the Hush ammo video currently for view in this forum, especially in the 50 yard from camera sequence... That noise is caused by the microphone on the recording device digitalizing a sound pressure that is above the amplitude that it can record at the bitrate. G...

Hahaha I appreciate the compliment. I asked the same thing and they said the formula is different. Who knows..... Have you tried the standard 147 from them yet? I was curious after being impressed by the mk25 octane hd combo with the hush. Just because its a different formula doesn't mean real worl...

Re: Video: Hush Subsonic Ammo
How does the 147 hush compare to the standard freedom munitions 147 grn?
I would assume better but is it worth the 30 Vs 20 a round price difference?
Edit: they should pay you for that level of advertisement of their product.

Re: Thread protector keeps working loose
Does your barrel have a shoulder? If yes just buy a pack of wave washers. Its what my ruger 22/45 came with to hold on the TP. Since it worked amazingly I bought some larger ones on amazon and have been amazed at how well they work on my 308 and ar. A wave washer holds the TP under tension so it can...

Re: SilencerCo Conquest Kit $20K
Is this a traveling bag for the company's marketing reps? I could "maybe" forsee a few dealers use that as a demo can bag. But the price of 20k would deter even the most big dealers wallets. If a person bought the same line of at street value and not Msrp. The cost is alot less. Another ma...

Re: A machinists comment on stellite....
The Stellite we use is proprietary. The Saker and the Specwar use the same Stellite. So I'm just a noob here in the forums but does SiCo have patents on this proprietary stellite material? Or even a pending number? That might be able to dispel the misconceptions in performance around the generic te...
