Re: Octane or Osprey looking at buying a pistol suppressor and I cant decide between them
I considered the Osprey but bought the Octane for the ease of cleaning, and glad I did. I use it for various .22RF rifles and pistol hosts as well 9mm, 40 and 45 ACP with both my cast lead and copper jacketed projectiles. I use an inexpensive ultrasonic jewelry cleaner with a purple degreaser and it...

Re: Quick access safe for suppressed pistol
All of the pistol safes I have seen cannot handle the extra barrel length added by the suppressor. Can you recommend any safes? Depending upon how much room you have this will work and is silent. I have one wall mounted next to a bed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barska-4-Gun-Rifle-Fingerprint-Security-...

Re: Glock 21 thread pitch question.
With my 21sf I am using the LWD threaded barrel with the piston on my Octane 45HD. Fits fine, same with their other barrels for 9 and 40 and the SWR/ Silencerco pistons for the Octane.

Max bullet diameter for Octane 45?
What is the maximum bullet diameter for Octane 45? Will it handle a heavy .459" sized and lubed gas check or plain base cast bullet with a muzzle velocity about 1,100 fps range from a Trail Boss load in a 45/70 case using a 16" T?C Encore barrel? If not .459" what is the max to preve...

Re: Octane 45HD - I love it!
How much of the wire pulling gel did you put in and how did you apply it? I have been using mine dry for 22lr on a number of hosts and for 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP with LWD Glock barrels. Really happy with it but curious about trying the gel, any down side to using it? I bought some of the clear ...

Re: Any 45 cans rated for 45 Super?
Thanks, that will possibly save another call. I think they said it will also handle 44 Mag. so I may have to thread one of my Contender or Encore barrels for it. Real easy can to clean, I use it for 22lr up.......crang11 wrote:Tom- thanks. Great news as I like that can to begin with. I'll have to ask them.....

Re: Any 45 cans rated for 45 Super?
I suspect that my 45 Octane would work, I believe I phoned Silencerco some time ago asking if it would work with my LWD 460 Rowland Glock 21sf barrel and I believe he said it would be OK. Wrote it down some where but can't remember now, plan to call again and verify before using that combination.

This could be another option. I'm assuming a 10 round mag could be had. http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=11125&index=1&mfg=Ruger&mdl=All&cat=All&type=Rifle&cal=22LR&fin=&sit=&pid=&inv= I have one of those Takedowns w/ threaded barrel. Use ...

Re: Can the Ruger 10/22 barrel be threaded
I'm old enough most of my rifle experience is with a straight grip stock. I also prefer wood over synthetic, walnut when available. I've got my eye on a Ruger 10/22 that meets these wants. Problem is I want the barrel threaded to shoot with my cans. Anyone see any reason why I could not have the ba...

Re: Osprey45 on glock 19 with TLR1 light?
Hi all, So Im thinking about pulling the trigger and purchasing an Osprey 45. I would be hosting it on my Glock 19 until I purchase a .45. My Glock 19 is equipped with the TLR-1 light. Will the osprey45 fit with my current setup? I have tried to look online and haven't found solid information. Some...

Re: Silencer for Ruger 22/45
Hello all. What are your opinions on the best silencer for the 22/45 (that I will be purchasing soon!)? Thanks in advance. I have both an older 22/45 5.5" with sights and Pac Lite top & bottom rails for optics and a 22/45 Mk III 4.5" with just the stock top & bottom rails. On thes...
