Diameter of Dead Air Flash hider?
I need someone who has the Dead Air Flash hider to do me a favor. If you have a caliper can you measure the widest part of the DA Flash hider? Im considering changing to DA muzzle devices and the Key Mo adapter on my SiCo cans. However on one of my piston SBRs the piston adjustment is less than 1/2”...

Re: Flash Hider or Muzzle Brake Under Can?
Waiting on a SilenceRCo Omaega 300 to release - the package contains a muzzle brake attachment for quick disconnection. Any reason why one might prefer a muzzle brake over a flash hider? Perhaps they just give you a muzzle brake so you will buy the flash hider... MaverickNH Since this is a 30 cal s...

Yes, true. The pouches are lined with the same material that's in their new skinny cover so you're good to go.jimbo45 wrote: Really you can just take the can off and put the suppressor in the pouch? Even when too hot touch? If so I'm going to need a couple of those

Re: Suppressor Cover Suggestions
I have Armageddon Gear and Rifles Only (HADs) right now and a TabGear SAS3 on order. I love the AG for ease of install and the fact that it stays in place. The RO HAD has MUCH better heat abatement (though it means it's trapped in the can more rather than cooling). I'm hoping the TabGear (with optio...

Re: Rotary Tumbler size for Spectre II Baffles
I would like to start using a Rotary Tumbler and stainless steel media for cleaning my Spectre II Baffles, but I would like to know if rotary tumblers in the two 3lb drum configuration has enough capacity to clean all of the Spectre II baffles at once. It would help if I could see the internal dime...

Stopped by the post office today. With the adapter and MAAD mount (and anchor brake), it's right at 16 oz.

Re: Why yes, my Omega has gone MAAD!
No, I didn't consider it for two reasons. First, it might mess up the can's threading. The last thing I want to do is 86 the can because of a stupid human error like that. Lifetime warranty notwithstanding, I wouldn't want to test the limits of the "stupid user error" clause. Second, this ...

Re: Why yes, my Omega has gone MAAD!
I don't know. I don't have a scale with sufficient precision. Think the Post office would have a fit if I took it in there to weigh on one of their automated machines?

Why yes, my Omega has gone MAAD!
Just got my Omega out of jail today. Put on the adapter from Tarheel State Firearms and now it can be used on all my rifles with a MAAD mount. Cool. Thanks guys!

FP, photos for every form or every 2 years?
I seem to recall reading that some of the new requirements for trusts only had to supplied every two years and not for each purchase. Is that true or Internet-"truth?" I question why someone would have to supply prints for each sale? Once they are in the system for the trust, they aren't g...

Re: Omega vs Hybrid
I called SiCo CustSvc today and talked through the Omega vs Hybrid question. The key differentiating factor being I already have a Osprey 45 for pistols. The rep suggested in no uncertain words to get the Omega. He said the baffle system was better and was a quieter can all around. So that's what I ...

Re: .30 cal can.....decisions decisions
I'm looking for opinions on a really good .30 cal can. I am looking mainly to run on .300blk. But some use on 7.62/.308. And maybe some 5.56 use.. Different mounting options a must. 5/8x24. 1/2x28 hk 14mm and possibly 14x1lh . I have got a huntertown 7.62 kestrel and it was the biggest dissapointme...

SiCo products in next MI movie?
Is it my imagination or are Osprey's being used by the bad guys in the latest Mission Impossible trailer? Thought they were there in the previous trailer but it was too fast to really see. Can't tell whether SiCo's are being used on the rifles though.

Re: Storm Lake Barrels for XD Tactical
I was wondering what experience everyone has had with Storm Lake Barrels. I have three SL barrels in my Springfield pistols -- a 9 mm XD, .40 XDm and a 1911 (Loaded). All were ordered through Mid***. The 2 for the XD/XDm fit without a problem. The 1911 barrel required just a bit of fitting. SL cust...

Good Omega vs Saker positioning statement
I'm trying to decide whether to buy am Omega or a 7.62 Saker. Target platform will be a .308. I wrote SiCo and asked what they considered their top-of-the-line model was an why. I told them I wanted a no-marketing-fluff reply. Tyler wrote back with what I think is a good positioning statement which ...

Met with the Omega and new Osprey K cans today
I was at the Dallas Safari Club convention today and SiCo had a rep there with their full line of cans including the Omega and to-be-announced-at-SHOT-but-he-had-it-on-display Osprey K! The Osprey K was mounted on a 9MM pistol and (shame on me) I didn't ask what other calibers were available. The gu...

Cooling a Saker down
A couple of days ago my family put about 150 rounds of 223 through a Saker. It took us about an hour so we weren't playing Rambo and doing full mag dumps. When we got done, I took it off the gun to cool down before putting it away. It took almost 30 minutes before I felt the temp was such that I cou...

I should also mention that I contacted SilencerCo's support about the issue and I absolutely give them an A+. Not only did they respond quickly and give me suggestions on how to break it free, but they also offered to replace the MAAD mount and FH so they can take a look at the one I have to see if...
