Re: Emotional Rollercoaster - Picking up my SiCo Sparrow
I'd suggest a Tactical Solutions PAC LITE upper, problem solved. I have one that I put on a 30 year old MKII that I have not used in years, now it's my favorite range gun.

Re: best .22 semi auto for suppressor ?
For a light can I recommend a light rifle, like the new Ruger 10/22 Takedown LITE. It shoots just as tight as my 30 year old tricked out standard 10/22 at a significant weight reduction.

Re: Who here rolls their own fingerprints?
I have to be fingerprinted annually to maintain a license for a side job and I always roll my own. I recommend you do a little research on line to see what an acceptable set of "rolled" fingerprints look like, but once you know what they're looking for it ain't hard.

I don't either, except for my two sons, who are listed on my trust.Dieseljay wrote:blkcloud wrote: I don't let others barrow my guns for common sense reasons of liability so why would I let them borrow my NFA items... Just curious on that one.

Re: Huntertown Arms Guardian .22lr (Gen 2)
I've been pleased with my HTA Guardian SS. Simple enough to disassemble and clean and sound suppression is equal to my Surefire Ryder.

Re: surefire ryder
I've had my Surefire Ryder a couple of months now and I like it. Seems light as a feather on the three .22's I mate it to. It's simple enough to disassemble and cleaning wasn't all that tough. I've fired it side by side with several other .22 suppressors at the range and I think it pretty much holds...

Re: Iowa farm boy looking for suppressor info
Before you waste your time thinking about trusts, contact your local CLEO police/sheriff and ask if Iowa law changes if they will sign your forms. If they will then the trust route serves little purpose. I disagree, trusts are a very good option to consider. I am a deputy sheriff so the CLEO thing ...

Re: Future proofing your cans
Besides just buying direct thread only, what are your thoughts on future proofing your QD cans? I purchased several extra brakes/comps to handle this issue. As my NFA items are in a trust, they'll likely be passed down to the next generation or two. What are the chances that a specific 2015 QD moun...

Re: Trust question
On the two suppressors I purchased at different times for my trust I listed the model/serial number on the trust before I sent in the Form 4. I didn't have a problem with either purchase.

Re: Which would you choose for your .22?
I'm really liking my Surefire Ryder 22A. Certainly not the cheapest on the market, but it meets the other criteria hands down.

Surefire Ryder 22-A
I've not seen any reviews on the Surefire Ryder 22-A so I'll share a few words about mine. It's my first suppressor but I was fortunate to be able to try out a number of different brands at the local range. Like many, of the seveal types I tried I was impressed with the performance of the Silencerco...

Thanks for the review. I have one in the vault at my local gunshop waiting on the BATF to process the paperwork.

Re: 22/45 Lite or SR22 a better host?
I've been very pleased with my SR22. It digests just about any ammo that will fit in the magazine. Although I don't particularly find the Ruger MK's all that challenging to field strip, the SR22 is certainly much simpler.

Re: Cleaning your Gemtech
Interestingly, I was talking to a Gemtech dealer and shooter today who says this whole cleaning suppressor thing is way over rated. He said about every 500 rounds through his .22 LR suppressors he disassembles them, shakes 'em a bit, wipes them down with a rag, and that's about it. Said more people ...

Does anyone have any experience with converted M1s to full auto? Assuming one in very good condition, how durable and reliable are they? What about repair if needed? Thanks very much. I have guns for hunting, guns for plinking, guns for defense, and other guns for historical interests. I never really thought much about why I own them.
