Re: legally carrying and/or transporting silencer
Thank you Conqueror. Please everyone else understand that I was 21 at the time, while I am now 30. At the time I made these posts I had littlerally just received my first NFA item. I was very much an anxiety ridden over-thiker and occasional contrarian in my youth. I have never discharged a firearm,...

Re: 14'' 870 non-NFA witness protection clone
I had a professional machine shop trim and recrown it at 14", which is a total length of 26.75". I really like the look of the smooth/unsighted barrel, but I soldered a BB centered on the top and use it with a clip-on fiber optic sight, along with a +1 extension now for an even mag tube, a...

Re: Help...I have questions on my DIY NOLO NFA trust
That and answering the questions asked could be considered practicing law, which is illegal unless you are a lawyer. No one has asked the original poster to fill out any documents, no one has drafted anything, we have all done nothing but done anything but give advice. I do not see how merely advis...

Re: "Ghost Guns" & on reality TV show
I believe gun related crime and most gang related violent crime would go down dramatically if you took away the main financial support for gangs, drugs. If they were no longer regulated and possession punished with such severe penalties than gangs would not be able to finance themselves with the pro...

I wonder if this was just stupidity on the retailers part or some sort of shotgun-news style ATF sting operation.

Re: fa or burst opinions and reasons...
Burst set ups are often clockwork sorts of mechanisms ... if you let off the trigger before the burst is finished the gun stops and the next trigger pull completes the interrupted sequence. Is a bit odd. Some do, some dont. I believe the Sig rifles reset regardless of if you let the burst finish or...

Many things the liberals get right. A lot they don't. That's why every adult should be a registered independent. Too many people vote straight ticket in this country, it's like the idiot's version of democracy. I'm really glad to see some people here have an open mind and can see that both parties ...

You could also look into one of those knoxx recoil reducing grips, I think it's called "The Breacher" or something to that affect.

While I'm in DoubleJ's camp, no problem addressing outta left field s--t. Dark, you seem to have left out the reason for your initial contact with "the cops" relative your rant. Were you playing the fool? Did that contact have anthing to do with (gasp) your inappropriate display of a... d...

Re: Since when can cops detain motorists for obeying the law ?
The point was to file a complaint. The cop obviously did not want me to file a complaint. He tried to intimidate me into leaving. It is unfortunate cops don't know the laws they attempt to enforce. I nearly got arrested once for carrying a microtech knife, which is perfectly legal in my state. I ha...

I recently went on a vacation to the Appalachian mountains and along with me I brought 200 rounds of CCI standard velocity for my suppressed PPK. While up there I went though the stuff faster than planned, my buddy and I plinked most of it away within the first 2 days of a week long trip. I checked ...

This "hush hole" idea is quite unique, I wonder if any of the larger suppressor companies have played with similar prototypes before.

I'm a little annoyed that they released the Glock 34 MOS about a month after I finished paying to get my Glock 34 (Gen 4) milled to fit an RMR. I could have just waited and bought one of those instead. I guess thats life.

Re: How to register a can that will be inherited?
I realize this thread is quite old, however I have 2 questions on this subject that I would greatly appreciate an answer to. Re: Huntertown Arms Guardian .22lr (Gen 2)
On par with the YHM Mite, there are alot better options out there. IME most people buy HTA because its the one the local SOT has on hand. Buyers remorse is not a fun thing to deal with. That may have been true for the generation 1 HTA Guardian, and while I will say it's not the best, it's definitel...

Re: Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
You can engrave the insert if the complete insert is the silencer, if the insert is PART of the silencer and the barrel is the "sleeve" then the barrel would need to be engraved.[/quote] The insert would be fully self contained, that way itll work in any breach loading 12 gauge. Also I fee...

Re: Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
I see no reason why I could not laser engrave the insert, as stated, as long as it's removable there is no difference between that and other setups which cover or otherwise obscure the visibility of a suppressor. I may just try to add a simple suppressor to a 12 gauge sub-caliber insert. That would ...

That is quite close to what I am proposing. It would seem that in that thread someone also suggested my exact idea. Seeing as how this would be a form 1, hopefully I will be able to e-file once I get the funds together and bypass the dullest part of everything, the 9 month wait period. I'm thinking ...

Re: Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
Only issue I can see will be that it is going to be non-concentric to actually fire the cartridge since the 22lr is a RIMfire. I realize that the baffles will have to be offset, but if it works for the osprey it'll work for my purposes. Hopefully it will still work as well if I go with a ported bar...

2 ideas Leave the end of the cane, the bottom portion hollow for at least a good 5 inches or so, you could easily put a small rubber plug in there so that it looks normal from all angels, but also if the barrel had a threaded protrusion inside a hollow area you could fit a suppressor up in there and...

Intergrally suppressed sub caliber insert idea.
I have a unique idea that I think would work fairly well either in a 12 gauge breachloader or a 26.5mm flare gun. You guys may have seen the .22lr sub-caliber inserts for military flare guns, I think they also make various sub caliber inserts for 12 gauge shotguns. Would it not be all that hard, wit...
