Re: Does Form 1 engraving need to use Latin Characters?
That doesn't qualify for ATF engraving requirements unless that whole thing is your serial number, but that would be a pretty long engraving anyways. No russian, chinese, computer coding, hyroglifs, wingdings, emoticons etc.... ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ and 0123456789 are the only acceptables for ...

Re: Help me loose some weight
Make it out of titanium and it will drop 40% weight. If you're set on SS then flute all the cones. While you're fluting things cut some more flutes into the back side where there's thick material and it's not threaded and not welded. If you're welding it all ditch the spacers and plug weld the baffl...

Re: Ti anodizing rec
In my expereince 11v DC is a light bronze color; 26v is a navy blue using rainwater and some sodium bicarbonate for electrolyte. I used some 600 grit paper prior to treatment, no solvent for degreasing. This source has been 'round the 'net, and generally seems to corelate to what I've seen: www-pers...

Re: Which cut works best clipped cones?
With baffles spaced about .600" I was thinking that the gasses would fan out like water from a garden hose with a similar nozzle. Another baffle indexed 90˚ would peel off the gas pushed off center. I was just wondering as this thread was saying that the asymmetric baffles were affecting PoI an...

Re: Which cut works best clipped cones?
Do clipped cones in super sonic applications always work better when asymmetric? Instead of hogging out one side with a big endmill, how about splitting the bore with a smaller endmill right through the centerline then alternating the cones 90˚ to eachother on down the line. If it weren't for the AT...

What barrel length and what wall thickness on the tube do you intend to use? What grade material?
