Integral ruger 22/45 monocore
The first suppressor I built was an integral 22 ruger with 9" tube. I decided to try an integral design and figured why not another Ruger. This started as a 5.5" bull barrel, I cut it down to 3.25" recrowned and threaded after profiling. The suppressor tube is 6"lg 304ss. The mon...

458 Socom build
Just finished my semi integral 458 Socom build. The tube, mount, and first 2 baffles are 304ss; the end cap and rest of the baffles are anodized 7075 aluminum. Baffles are simple 60 degree cones, all but the first two are clipped. It's a 9.5" suppressor attached to an 8" Tromix stainless b...

Re: Booster-less micro cans vs slide weight
It's not as quiet as the full length can but it still very quiet. I shoot it wet with a 1/4" this wipe
It wasn't supposed to be as quiet as the full size, the adantage of the small size is it fits in the nightstand drawer with the auppressor attached

Re: 300 Blkout suppressor
I'll have to bring it to work to weigh it on the postal scale. I have shot it yet, trying to find time this coming weekend to anodize the baffles first.

300 Blkout suppressor
Another one fresh off the lathe. This one is 8" long but the mount reflexes back over the barrel 2". 304ss mount, blast baffle and chamber; 316ss tube; the remaining baffles and end cap are 7075 (soon to be anodized) Upper has a stainless 7.5" barrel. Shown next to a 10.5" upper ...

SPR style suppressor
Just finished this one for my 16" AR that has a SPR contoured barrel. I used the Spikes SPR brake mount and an Allen Engineering collar. The suppressor is all 304 Stainless steel. This one is the same dimensions as the Ops Inc/ Allen suppressor. I used 8 machines cones inside. My 14th form 1 su...

Re: Form 1 integrals
I used a 5.5" stainless 10/22 barrel when I built my savage MKII integral to keep things subsonic. The rest of the length was simple cone baffels for 11.5". It's stupid quiet The 22/45 was the first suppressor I built. I kept the factory 5.5" barrel length and added 4.5" of cone ...

Go buy a 60 degree countersink to thin out the inside of your baffles. It will help with weight and sound. Also thin out the skirt thickness on the baffle for less weight and more internal volume

Re: Want to build a 2" OD 5" length form 1 for an AK
The micro 223 suppressor I built for my 7.5" AR is 2" diameter x 4" long. It worked surprising well for such a short can and barrel combination. I used 4130 0.065 tube and the mount/blast wall is one piece press and welded in. I have three baffles that are 17-4 SS and a screw on end c...

Re: Suppressing 7" 5.56mm ?
I did a short form 1 suppressor just for my 7.5" upper. It's just under 4" long and is 2" OD. 4130 tube and 17-4 baffles. It's mostly blast chamber with a very short stack of three baffles. It works surprisingly well. There are several commercial suppressors rated for 7.5". I use...

It's hard to go wrong with a Glock. The lower one is what I keep near the bed with a form 1 micro wiped suppressor. It's a 40cal G22. A full length suppressor is long for most drawers or rapid open safes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/bjgunner/5B743F91-8774-4B12-9A7B-EB928E7A81ED-705-000000...

Re: Personal Experiences on your 9mm AR SBR
I built one back when only colt and RRA made parts for them. Mine is set up as an integral SBR at 12" overall suppressed barrel length. The 9mm AR is loud in general due to ejection port noise of the blowback action and light bolt. I ended up making an extra heavy buffer out of stainless and th...

Re: Coastal Gun Lrt
I have one. It's long and heavy and uses a K style baffle. Other than being heavier than it should be it does sound good. I bought mine for under $300 new before I was making my own suppressors so for what I paid and how it sounds I have no regrets. At the same time I plan to but in a form 1 soon to...

You will most likely need the thread your barrel 3/8-24 and then add an extension

The S&W is threaded something odd

I go 0.005 under in diameter, not per sidespeed6 wrote:Resurrecting this old topic. When you say clearance, are you referring to radial or diametrical? I.e., .005 per side or .005 total clearance (that would be .0025 clearance per side).

Re: Vepr 12 build.
Wow, that's a slick looking and sounding supressor. What else can you tell me about it? Do you know what kind of dB rating you are getting vs un suppressed? Have you had any baffle strikes? Is there a limit to the ammo you can use? Have you run it wet? Do you have any suggestions for my build? I ha...

Re: Vepr 12 build.
I used 2" OD x 0.065" wall aluminum tubing on my shotgun suppressor. Everything was 6061 aluminum except for the 304SS mount. The low pressure and large more make it a challenge to get the gas to go where you want it. Mine is 12" long and works well. I ended up anodizing all the baffl...

Re: Micro 223 Suppressor
I finally got to try this one out today (we had our first child 4 weeks ago so time is scarce). I shot it on my 7.5" upper which is the loudest thing I have. It was slightly louder on it than my longer suppressor but was actually comfortable to shoot without hearing protection.

I made my own extra heavy buffer to quiet down my 9mm. I just used some 304 stainless and gutted an H3 buffer for he tungsten weights
H3 on top, mine in middle, 9mm bottom

I just it similar to the SWR baffles. The built in spacer clips on the other baffle in the slight recess so the fouling never makes it to the tube. I can pull them all out with a cleaning rod and jag without any force. They basically slide right out no matter how much you shoot. I used the same basi...

The barrel on the Savage is small in OD, I think its 5/8" which would just fit through your lathes through bore.

Re: Savage MKII Integral
I did a form 1 integral Savage MKII. I ended up ditching the factory barrel and used a stainless 10/22 barrel instead. I had to file the extra extractor groove and turn down part of the barrel to press fit into the receiver. I used a 5.5" barrel inside the tube (stainless tube that is pin and w...
