Re: Rugged Obsidian 45 Availability
Tarheel state firearms had some serial # for a few obsidians, but they werent listed on their site, you have to call them. I payed for mine a few weeks ago. I don't know if they sold them all or not though.

Omega 9k barrel specifications for 300blk?
I remember seeing that 8" is the shortest barrel you should use the omega 9k with 300blk supers, but what is the shortest barrel I can use it on with sub sonic? I want to use it on a 6.25" 300blk with subs only, would that damage the suppressor?

Re: Rem 870 sbs barrel legallity
so if I keep the barrel away from the gun, like in a family member's safe that I don't have the combo to, then it would technically be fine, right

Rem 870 sbs barrel legallity
I plan to register a remington 870 that i own as a SBS soon. At what time can I legally acquire a short barrel? I know that i can't install the short barrel untill the form 1 is approved, but can i buy a 18" barrel, then have it cut down to 12.5" or 14", and then just not install it u...

Re: AR15 Handguard, Barrel, Suppressor Compatibility
Thankyou. So do you think that the rear of the can will run into the 7.25" handguard with an 8" barrel, or do I need a longer barrel?

Re: AR15 Handguard, Barrel, Suppressor Compatibility
8" should be fine, you're going to have .4" of threads. You are going to want a little room to turn the locking ring on the Specwar. So once installed, an 8" barrel will protrude from the upper receiver 7.65" right? And the Specwar 762 suppressor only covers about half of the th...

Re: AR15 Handguard, Barrel, Suppressor Compatibility
finding a gas block isn't going to be an issue because it has a channel along the top. The handguard is listed as a 7" but on the spec. sheet is says that it is actually 7.25" OAL, and I cant find an 8" barrel, or a 7.25" handguard on ar15builder.com

AR15 Handguard, Barrel, Suppressor Compatibility
I am planning to build a 300blk upper. I want to use a 7.25" handguard with a 1.3" inner diameter, and mount a Specwar 762 with the rear of the can as close to the handguard as possible (within .25"). What barrel length will allow me to do this? Would I have enough barrel protruding f...

Re: SDTA Titanium Suppressor Build: The $120 Lightweight Suppressor **NEW VIDEO**
I am considering doing something similar to this using SDTA tube and end caps. I am wondering did you get the solvent trap first (as it it not considered a silencer yet) and then drill the encap and freeze plugs after you got the F1 back. Or did you buy all the parts and drill the end cap and freez...

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
I completely agree with you that purchasing silencer parts is illegal, but don't think a solvent trap is a silencer part as its primary purpose is to catch solvents pored down your gun barrel and it cannot silence anything in its present configuration, just like........ You are reaching big time on...

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
So what I know so far is that: The SD solvent trap (threaded tube+ threaded end cap with NO BORE HOLE+ threaded adapter for gun muzzle) is 100% legal as a solvent trap (the ATF has said so) The solvent trap DOES become a silencer/silencer part when baffles are added and/or a bore hole is drilled in...

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
I agree someone here once asked if he could replace steel wool in his can and the ATF said NO!!
And I will talk to a lawyer before i do anything with a solvent trap, I just wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with that kind of thing.

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
OK, I will be sure to check with a lawyer about whether I can do a f1 at 18, buy i still want to know if there is a clear answer about if using a SD "solvent trap" for a form 1is legal, or if that is a grey area of the law that has no clear answer.

Re: Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
I have heard that you can use a trust, a form 1, or buy from an individual in the same state on a f4 and do it wile you are 18, I believe the law says that dealers cannot transfer any suppressors to anyone under 21, but since no dealer is transfering it the suppressor it was OK. Legality of form 1 SD Tactical solvent trap suppressor
I'm 17 and am planning on building a form 1 suppressor when I turn 18. Since I cannot buy the cans that I really want from a dealer until I'm 21, and have limited access/kowledge of mills and lathes I was wondering if buying the encaps and tube online from SD or Preppersdiscount, with form 1 in hand...
