Re: What about 3D printed silencers?

Drill, turn, hone, ream, melt, incinerate, dissolve, scrape... the core and epoxy. Some adhesives and printer resins are dissolved by water or other select solvents. Some are affected by different temperatures. Choose wisely. A new resin core costs a few dollars plus shop time at a willing SOT. As f...

Re: What about 3D printed silencers?

I have a friend who has all the appropriate licenses, etc... He makes 3D printed .22 silencers using a special engineering resin called Siraya Blu. They thread directly onto the gun and come out of the printer ready to use. For greater durability, it's possible to epoxy an off-the-shelf metal flash...

Re: a new silencer design, now patent pending

I've been thinking about how to do the tests with this thing legally but for less money than what it would normally cost. I'm not too far from the Mexican border. What if I contacted someone south of the border, paid them to build my design, made a trip down there to film and record the tests with ...

Re: What about 3D printed silencers?

There are creative ways to use inexpensive 3d printers to make metal parts. More is involved than making a drawing in Fusion 360 and pushing a button as with a DMLS machine. For example, a metal rocket nozzle created with an inexpensive 3d printer, special filament, and and expensive oven. https://y...

John A recently completed a traditional delisle style rifle. It's worth taking a look at. https://form1suppressor.boards.net/thread/5896/de-lisle-commando-carbine?page=6 That forum has evolved from freeze plugs and valve spring retainers to solvent traps, mini lathes, real machinists, and interestin...

Thank you for sharing those videos. Why is it FBI policy to NOT record interviews with all the tech and resources available to them? I knew not to talk to police to avoid mistaken or malicious prosecution. I didn't consider being coerced into working for the FBI for the rest of my life. If you're se...

Re: Looking for lowish cost .22 can to get started

Everything said above is true. Low cost manufacturers Rebel Silencers and Huntertown Arms are out of business. High quality American made kits from xrt tactical and quiet bore are expensive and still require machining and painting. Those companies don't have the added expense of dealing with firearm...

Re: Democrats Want Biden To Give Up Control of Nuclear Codes

Quoted from the Washington Times article above: “The military is obligated to carry out the order if they assess it is legal under the laws of war."

Does that mean that the football isn't a launch button but just a prop? At best a secure radio to the people that actually launch the weapons?

CO3's disciplined? Why bother. They're reasonable people. Just have them report to those cells for guard duty for every shift until they resign or retire. If we had video inspection of each cell in that cellblock, it would NOT surprise me to learn that 15-40% of the cells had either backed-up draina...

Texas, Government caring for residents, Qualified Immunity

It was argued that a reasonable person, nor well trained Texas government workers, would think that there was any wrong doing. I wonder if the Texan government feels sorry or accountable for any of recent hardships during the freezing weather, power outages, and lack of running water? I chose this a...

You can purchase a length of straight unhardened drill rod, or tool steel from McMaster.com or Grainger for a very low price to use as an alignment rod.

Dime sized groups are more or less a standard for the 10-22 rifle with a little work. I can prepare a barrel for you including a better chamber cut by a reamer known as a BENTZ. It is a possibility that your KIDD pistol barrel is cut 1-22 instead of 1-16 for rifles. This may affect the accuracy with...

Re: Novel EU Baffle Design

If I remember correctly, until it got hot and dirty the pattern was like a .410 with an extra full choke. Then it would suddenly throw fliers. Then it progressed to patterns several feet wide at 50 yards. It was an ambitious project for a new lathe owner and someone that never soldered or welded any...

As the Captain said, " 1) It feature's two expansion chambers or more correctly a blast chamber plus a coaxial chamber. 2) First coaxial suppressor to use a mono-core." I'm sure that the design wasn't shared because it was the end all be all apex design, but to show innovation and to spark...

Does qualified immunity apply to the 4th branch of the government? There was a long video of the shooting of Ashli Babbitt that showed at least a minute before the shot was fired and at least a minute after. As far as I can tell its been memory holed. The NRA was formed to lobby for some people to have gun rights and to lobby for others to be denied gun rights. Actually the NRA was formed because people were alarmed by the lack of marksmanship of the Union Army r4ecruits. They designed and promoted courses to teach people how to shoot effectivel...

The thing that I hate about this, is that currently this Corp is the oldest Civil Rights organization in the USA. :( If they dissolve it and reform in TX, they can no longer make this claim. But I'm glad to have them here. :) The NRA was formed to lobby for some people to have gun rights and to lob...

The crankshaft just looks cool. It looks easy to clean. It looks like it would trap gas on the side opposite of the port. It would be easy to pin and weld. I wouldn't be original but there can't be too many like it. It's hard for me to own machine tools that can carve out anything that I can imagine...
