Government Shutdown and Filing Times...

From what I understand... the examiners who run background checks for Form 4s at ATF are on the list of "non-essential" employees...

Would the fucking Democrats pass this s--t, so I can get my new suppressor (check cashed 9/11/18) some time before 2020?

Thanks...

Re: best 308 semi auto hunting rifle for my Omega can

Just get a 16" AR-10 with a light weight barrel and be done. It's the best system out there to run suppressed. I've got a traditional gas AR, in 308, and I run it suppressed all the time. The only instance where blow-back is a serious issue is running high volume of fire, like you would in a ru...

Why leave the Omega off the list?

Arguably the best 30 Cal can on the market STILL.

New SilencerCo Saker 556K ASR

Can number 5... Saker 556K, Direct Thread. Just got my Form 3 through, and Form 4 goes out tomorrow! I think we only have a 5-6 month wait now??? This think is a little tank. I ordered it Direct Tread only as it will be dedicated to my 10.5" 5.56 SBR, and got it on sale around $450?? http://www...

Re: Omega 30 shortest barrel for 300 AAC

So what is the shortest barrel you can run subsonic 300 blk with an omega 30? Im really wanting a sig mcx rattler but Ive read the shortest the can is rated for is 8" for subs and supers. I could have sworn I saw somewhere thats because SiCo was assuming the round wont be stable enough in a sh...

Re: SilencerCo products and support sucks

I own a Specwar 7.62. Shot about 100 rounds through it with no problem. Then I shoot a round and the silencer blasts off the end of the rifle and flies 25 yards down range. Fortunately no one was injured. The threads look OK on the can and the brake, but I can tell there is some damage to some of t...

Permanently Attached Can?

I'm considering getting a 5.56 can to run on one of my SBRs (10.5"). A number of manufacturers are making direct thread cans that can be pinned to a 10" barrel, making a 16" (one stamp) set-up. This one looks awesome: https://thunderbeastarms.com/products/556-take-down Anybody have th...

Best 9mm Suppressor for AR-9 Direct Thread?

If you were shopping for a direct-thread 9mm can for 90% usage on a 9mm AR (5.5" barrel), what would you buy in today's market? Priorities: 1. Budget (I'm not taking this to war) 2. Length (Shorter is better, buried in rail w 1.75 ID) 3. Suppression (147gr subsonics) 4. Weight What would be you...

Re: badly damaged ears, need help for omega/300 blk setup

I own a 8.5" 300BLK with an Omega on it, and a 5.5" 9mm AR with an Octane 45K on it. Shooting 30BLK Subsonics, mine's REALLY quiet. A captured spring would quiet it even more. But next to a single-shot 300BLK, it's downright NOISY simply due to the sound of the bolt and buffer spring. Of c...

Re: Suppressing 40

Assuming you have a 45 Cal can, you'd just need a threaded barrel and an adapter. Subsonics are subsonics. That said I have a 40Cal M&P Pro Series. I bought a 9mm threaded barrel for it, and 9mm mags. The thread adaptors fr 9mm are much more plentiful, ammo is cheaper, etc, etc... The swap in th...

Agreed with above... If you want a subsonic 308... build/buy a 300BLK. Save the 308 for supers.

Re: Octane HD, how often do you clean?

I've got an Octane 45K. I shoot it almost exclusively on my AR-9 "pistol". Probably 1000 rounds down range since I cracked it open. Reminds me, I ought to check it out!

Re: SilencerCo Omega 30

I ended up buying a SECOND Omega 30... One, I leave with the Direct Thread mount on it (for 300BLK/308), and the other has the ASR mount on it, for 3 other guns... an AR-10 308, and two AR-15 5.56s. I found swapping between the direct thread and the ASR was challenging, but gun to gun with the same ...

Buy more rifles as hosts for your old cans.

Re: 22LR Pistol Barrel length 3.5" Vs. 5" (inches) which is better?

From what I've read... 4.5" is the "magic length" where high-velocity ammo is still subsonic (quiet), and accuracy is not compromised. Going to 5"-5.5" MAY allow some high-velocity stuff to go super-sonic, especially with the added length off a can. I run a 4.5" CMMG ba...

Re: Supressing an AR-10

I wouldn't invest in an AR-10 for subsonic use, even if you own a TON of 308 brass. The only advantage the AR-10 platform has in supersonics at long range. In an AR-15, you can shoot anything up to 50 Cal bullets subsonic. I'd sell/trade the 308 brass for 5.56 brass, and go with a 300BLK, or 458 SOC...

Re: Optimal barrel length for 9mm suppressed

A 3" pistol barrel stabilizes a 147gr 9mm just fine. If you want to keep everything subsonic, I'd go standard pressure 147, and nothing longer than 6-7". I have 7.5" barrel in mine, and I just bought a 5.5". My 7.5 through a SilencerCo Octane 45K, shooting 147gr round nose "...

Re: Silencerco Hybrid

I've got to ask...

How firm is your grip on the weapon?

The only thing I can think of is the slide might fail to cycle if you're not firm enough?

Only other thought is there's something wrong with your piston/spring.
