Re: Can't vote for either POTUS candidate.

Yes, Trump may be repulsive, but Hillary is downright terrifying. Supreme Court Justice appointments are going to be huge in the next four years. If Hillary gets in, and gets Justices even close to what she wants confirmed we are going to be in a world of hurt.

An ant is in danger from an elephant and will survive longer if it steers clear of it. It doesn't matter if the elephant is a predator or warlike. It doesn't matter if the elephant even knows the ant exists.

Wyoming doesn't have many gun free zones left, but I work in one of them, so until that changes no, I don't carry at work. My wife works in a bank, and always carries.

I did some searching and found the FFA defines an aircraft as: "Aircraft. A device that is used or intended to be used for flight in the air."
So are they gonna start throwing people in prison for shooting trap and skeet?

Re: Omega??? How many have them in hand???

Had one since October. Have at least 1000 rounds through it, mostly subsonic 300 BKL, but also a fair number of supersonic BLK. I have put about 100 .308 rounds through it as well, and a few .223 rounds. I am very happy with it, no complaints at all.

I knew Kalifornia has some ridiculous gun laws, but I didn't know about the reloading restriction. It'd be a nice place to live if it wasn't for all the wackos.

Re: Trail Boss powder

I have a good load for my Encore. 308 for subsonic 165 grain gameking , just bought a 300 blackout upper and wondering what would be a good starting load for the same grain bullet. It's going to be next to impossible to get a subsonic load using 165 grain bullets to cycle in an AR. You will have a ...

Re: Chicago man gets 100 years prison term for loaning gun to niece

The niece went outside and walked towards the crowd, shooting and killing her 14-year old fight opponent and 1 other person. The article says the niece was part of the crowd. She wasn't defending herself, she was attacking. SHE should be in jail for 100 years! Weather or not her uncle should, would...

Walkie Talkies get lost or broken all the time. At least with me and my friends they do. I recommend the cheep ones, and getting a lot of them. No they are not encrypted or anything fancy but they work. They won't have rechargeable batteries, but you can use standard rechargeable batteries in them. ...

Trialboss will not work, not enough case capacity. 11g of Trialboss will overflow the case.
IMR 4227 will work, probably around 9.5 grains.

Re: Optimum muzzle velocity for subs?

Yep. I have some subsonic ammo that was going super on me a while back when it normally never would. I was at 10,000 ft. altitude. I don't think 10,000 feet would be high enough to make a noticeable difference. Plus, if I'm not mistaken the high altitude would increase the speed of sound, because o...

Elevation has very little effect on the speed of sound. Humidity had a little, but the biggest factor is temperature. At 100 degrees the speed of sound is 1160 fps and at 0 degrees it's 1050 fps.

Kind of off my own target, but the Walther PK380 checks most of the boxes. Fixed barrel, ... I thought the Walther PK380 had a tilt barrel? Anyway, if you go .380 ACP your options will increase dramatically. Lots of .380's are blowback, and therefore fixed barrels. With modern ammunition (I like Co...
