Re: Something like the Huntertownarms Kesteral 556 but OK for .204
Also, like you found out, do NOT shoot rimfire ammo through a sealed centerfire can...centerfire ammo burns way cleaner than rimfire ammo and that's the reason most rimfire cans can be taken apart...you'll quickly ruin a sealed centerfire can with filthy (and ALL of it's filthy) rimfire ammo.

Re: Something like the Huntertownarms Kesteral 556 but OK for .204
When I first got into the can "business" last year, Huntertown was pushed on me...I studied before I laid the money down, and suffice to say all but one of my cans are Silencerco (The one that's not is a Tactical Solutions .22 can). I have recent experience with SiCo customer service and i...

Rimfire Roundup
Just plain addictive. Top rifle is 10/22 with Nikon 4x rimfire scope and Sparrow. Middle is M&P 22c with Warlock II. Bottom is 5" SBR 15-22 with Spectre II. Spent the morning making empty brass at a target 40 yards out. Good luck trying to get me to do anything else today, I told the wife! ...

Re: Getting checked for legal silencer and stamp
Any range owner/officer or LEO that wants to see my paperwork gets to see it. I ain't looking to play games or get a hassle - I show if asked. Thing is, I haven't been asked yet, probably because the ranges I frequent see cans and SBR's more and more often - and they know me. After shooting one day,...

Sounds complicated...and what are you going to do with all those NFA items if your LLC/Corp folds and no longer exists?
Go the Trust route - it's easier and, as stated above, is 100% private.

Re: Actual tax stamp in the mail??
I have four eForm 1's, all with "virtual" stamps.
I'd rather have those approved in 30-40 days vs. mailing the forms and waiting 3-4 months for a "real" stamp.

I messed up the very first EForm 1 I filed. I immediately filed another one which was correct and it got approved in 37 days.

No, I missed all that - I only started "stamp collecting" this past October.

Re: First trip to the range with my new suppressor and I have some questions!
I don't have the 762, but I have the Saker 556. When I screwed mine on for the first outing I was dead center but 2 inches low at 100yds. Mine smoked like a grease fire too...but it stopped smoking after I burned off all the factory goop. Also, I use the direct thread mount since the rifle its on wi...

Ever noticed how long it takes your stamped form to get back to the gun shop after approval? The ATF has 30 days to get it back to your dealer, and I suspect some examiners, for whatever reason, sit on the forms. Example: I have had 4 of 6 Form 4's approved so far. From approved to arrival by examin...

Re: NFA Disapprovals
One of my Form 4's got returned to the dealer because he missed a couple of boxes. It came back in 3 days, he fixed it, mailed back, 8 days later I was walking out with the can. So...I'd say filling-out-the-form errors probably rank pretty high... Maybe I'm reading that wrong, but it sounds like yo...

Re: Pilot 2 vs Spectre 2 vs warlock 2
I have the Spectre II and the Warlock - they're both neck-and-neck on which one is quieter...in other words, no distinguishable FRP and both are quiet! The Pilot ain't no chump so I'd say between the three get the one you like the best. Hell, for that matter my TacSOl Cascade is pretty sweet, too......

Is it any wonder these guys sell ALOT of cans! I bought a Warlock from a local dealer 3 months ago. I bought it despite the fact the thing would not thread onto either one of my rifles; the threads looked messed up. I suspect this dealer let people "play" with the thing (although it was, i...

Re: spare or replacement silencer parts and tube replacement
I bought a Warlock II. The dealer must have used it as a demo, and some schmuck tried to murder the thing onto a barrel, because I bought it knowing the threads were boogered-up...anyhoo, once I took possession of it I called SiCo and they gave me an RMA to return the boogered-up endcap. Once receiv...

Re: Awesome fast ATF return times !!!
I stopped using NFA tracker, because alot of the users are idiots who don't know how to fill in the boxes...they'll say the check was cashed on 2/23/14 and their form went pending 3/16/15... The pending date is set back to the date your check was cashed, so the dates should be the same! Anyway, my l...

My SiCo Sparrow has FRP on my two pistols and my 5" 15-22. Noticeable but not bad. As I continue to shoot, the 2nd and all subsequent shots are so quiet all I hear is the action cycling and the bullet hitting the backstop. Now... I got a thread adapter and put it on the front of my full-length ...

I have a TacSol Cascade. I called TacSol and they told when the time comes to clean to soak the can in mineral spirits.

My Saker 556 puts a butt-load of gas back in my face...would a gas-buster charging handle be worth it or are they a gimmick?

Saker direct thread mount.
Here's the deal. I just picked my Saker 556 today. I have two mounts for it - the Trifecta Muzzle brake on one rifle, and I picked up the direct thread mount for my other rifle. I have always been nervous about walk-off with a thread-on mount, especially where centerfire rifle is concerned - hasn't ...

If the new system will dissuade people from harassing them every day then I'm all for it. I call at the three-month mark - that's when my Form 4's are getting approved. I have gotten three back so far, three pending. All three came back in 90-101 days. There's no need to call any sooner than that - ...

ATF doesn't wanna be bothered anymore?
In the past I have been able (like everybody else) to call the NFA branch and get someone to tell me the status of my Form 4. Today I called (304) 616-4500 and was, for the first time ever, greeted with an automated menu. Option 3 lets you check the status of a Form 1 or 4. Upon choosing this option...
