Re: Greetings from PA - Walther P22 Barrel Extension Question
Well... I was at my local gun store today ordering a new can, and once again checked out a new P22 with a factory shipped adapter. Not only was it threaded way too small, it was also about AR length at ~.600". I don't want to start trouble, but these adapters are clearly not correct...

Re: Greetings from PA - Walther P22 Barrel Extension Question
OMG man, this was way beyond eyeball... these were shitty adapters, probably made for fake suppressors... Having dealt with Walther in regards to these adapters I am just wondering what the issue was as they are not designed for fake suppressors and all of the ones I have seen are made to spec. Har...

Re: Greetings from PA - Walther P22 Barrel Extension Question
He said the new P22's he was getting with factory installed adapters were junk... The one he showed me certainly was. It was super loose and wobbly. I don't know what else to say. They never used to supply sdapters before. You had to buy one from an aftermarket supplier.

Re: Greetings from PA - Walther P22 Barrel Extension Question
I would advise buying one of the many different properly machined threaded P22 adapters available. I was in one of my local gun shops a while back that also sells suppressors and they showed me how terrible the factory Walther P22 adapter is. I'm not sure whether it was it was just designed cheaply...

Re: Just bought an Sig 238... What are my options here?
I started that thread and was told they would thread the barrel if I bought one of their cans... I have since abandoned the P238, I found it to be a little finicky for personal defense. Sig is supposedly going to offer factory threaded barrels for the new P938...

HPR EMCON 9mm 147gr. Ammo
Has anyone tried this stuff yet? I finally got ten boxes of this today, after nearly a year on b/o from Midway. I'm not even going to shoot it right now, as it's so cold, it would probably be disappointing... I still have a lot of special k and some other stuff, so it should be interesting... It is ...

Re: Who makes the best quality aftermarket threaded barrel?
I had Adco extend and thread my P30 barrel when it was first available, but nowadays these are probably the best choice for a complete barrel. Unfortunately, they are out of stock most of the time...

Re: Walther PPK/S .22 Long Rifle
Here's some irony for you, I just got my American Rifleman magazine today and there is a whole spread on Walther. The article talks a bit about the .22 PPK. Wow, the DA trigger pull is 14lbs! Maybe a gunsmith can work on that a little...

Re: Walther PPK/S .22 Long Rifle
I'd say it is better quality than the P22, but definitely not at the level of the original PPK's... It's made by Umarex, so... I have always been a big fan of the PPK's, so I'm o.k. with it as a fun plinker. The double action trigger is crazy heavy, but the single action is not too bad. I was able t...

Charity Donations
I would like to start giving more donations to "Wounded Warrior" type organizations, but I am concerned about the quality of some of these outfits. Any recommendations would be appreciated...

Re: Sig 229 E2 ?
I had the same thing happen recently. I bought the 9mm conversion kit for my .22 cal P229. The kit fit just fine with stock barrel, but the Sig threaded barrel would hit. I think the Sig threaded barrel is for the older models, including the german Sigs. I had a gunsmith cut back the feed ramp and i...

Re: Kobold Watches
I'm well aware of the movements etc. I was interested in any feedback from some owners, as it is an interesting story.mbogo wrote:$5000 for a watch with an ETA movement is absurd.
A Seiko is at least as rugged at 1/40th the price. Poljots cost even less, but I'm no fan.
