Re: Question about the AAC Rem700 1:8 308win Barrel ??

I think I will wait until I have money set aside to go all out and get action blue printed and do barrel swap... This gives me ideas.

Sigh, I remember her from all those films. I always wondered how soft her skin was.

Always some bad apples who take something innocent and maybe irritating that is started by others that is meant for fun to have chance at doing something wrong. :(

Re: Specs to handle a 308 8" barrel?

Take look at suppressor manufacturers minimum barrel lengths. Your desired rifle is shorter than anyone will rate their product for. The reasons are listed in previous posts. A 7.62x51 under 12" is a monster even with suppressor. I just checked companies recommend lowest lengths of 10.5 and mos...

Re: Ban on M855

I wonder how many lead banners in that state hoped for lead free bullet restrictions. . . This talk reminds me of 1990's hearings and multiple efforts that continue to this day. If they could not ban guns from being kept then tax cost of use beyond affordable.

Re: Ban on M855

We had a conversation a number of years ago on the Quarterbore form regarding modern bullets that actually meet the definition of "armor piercing", but were not banned. I wonder if the modern controlled expansion bullets by Barns, and others, is next on the ban list. That action would lea...

Re: New Open Letter form ATF

I went with sbr for reasons listed as a couple of opinions in this thread. Until this century sbr were not legal in my state. Yet people sawed off rifles and shotguns while going after law enforcement... Wow, the law prevented a hacksaw by a felon... We even had homemade (illegal) suppressors used. ...

Re: SilencerCo NFA Trust

I believe silencerco will have good reliable trust for sale. This is their business and customers future at stake. I already have my trust from another source.

I was referring to quicken.

On another site, cannot find the post, it was claimed quicken replied to question of nfa trusts. The claim is quicken replied they do not guarantee their product for our nfa needs.

Maybe someone can help me with this?

Re: Fed Judge in TX declares ban on interstate handguns sales is unconstitutional

I should have been more clear. The 1968 laws were result from several events. But for my state the gun laws began long before the federal issues we face today. I am from south. I have read the old "blue" laws. Resident lawyers showed me years ago I was wrong when I thought same thing about...

Re: New Open Letter form ATF

This statement lacks logic or rational thought. A hammer and suppressor? Why not compare a flamethrower and muffler? How about a brick and breaching round? I worked with your type while in military. Your type is a blunt tool lacking precision or objective thought to judge a situation and bring more ...

Re: Fed Judge in TX declares ban on interstate handguns sales is unconstitutional

Everyone here understands the current system is based on old time method of checking a paper file (record) to verify no prohibition. Until the online system my state mandated all handgun sales be given entire 5 business day wait for local sheriff to literally check the records. Buy on Thursday Feb 1...

Wow, just wow. Shame on anyone for thinking that abusing ones position is acceptable. On another (cough (NFA.com)) site I've been taking all kinds of heat about this device. You have been taking heat because you said you would arrest anyone that was shouldering one even though at the time th...

Re: Dealer wants to keep copy of trust

New here.
You submit copy to BATFE for purchase and have to maintain the original on your own. They (store) have no reason for it per the two places I have done business with. They must be wanting a free copy of working trust or lack knowledge of what BATFE wants. . .
