Re: FNG here with another new gu question on cans.. looking to sshoot corrosive 5.45 7n6

Personally i wouldn't shoot that out of any of my silencers... I have an Adams Arms 5.45 upper and i shot a bunch of the corrosive stuff while doing some tactical rifle drills. When i got home i gave it a nice bath in warm soapy water in my bathtub, I was sure to clean it very well. Oiled it up and ...

Re: Griffin 3-lug on an Octane...Yes

So for whatever it's worth.. Finally got a chance to do a head to head with the Griffin 3 lug vs the SilencerCo Octane 3 lug. I have two identical Octane 9's, one of each type of mount and was trying to fire a few rounds out of my Sig MPX and then quickly change cans to see if i could tell a differ...

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!

So, should I pull the trigger, or not? I just wrote them & they still have them. I was consisting the Posiden 9mm or 45, so this a natural buy as an alternative. Is the core same/similar to the Posiden? The core is most definitely different although very similar in size. in a few of ways i actu...

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!

:D Not expecting it to function on the Glock (LW 9mm barrel), not sure what to think about the Beretta. My Nagant revolver should be back from threading next week. ETA: Ti-rant 9 for comparison http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll241/ppcseniortrip/Mobile%20Uploads/image_11.jpg I can attest to it n...

Re: OVERRUN 9MM MICRO SUPPRESSOR $189 BLOWOUT!

I'm guessing these are long gone. I would loved to have gotten in on this deal. Me too. At the risk of looking like a jackhole for not reading the whole thread, were/are these the older suppository shaped cans or the current gen version? I never heard anywhere that they were all gone? I bought one ...

Re: Griffin 3-lug on an Octane...Yes

what is the change in overall length with the sico 3lug mount vs the griffin 3lug mount on an octane 9hd2 Prior to buying the SilencerCo 3 lug i scoured the internet to find the same answer but didn't see it posted anywhere. Measured additional length is from the base of the silencer with the boost...

That is a lot nicer than i expected. I saw those on silencer shop but they weren't cheaper enough to get my to try a can from a company I've never heard of especially without any reviews. While tempting and somewhat similar to the much more expensive Liberty cans... for another $75 I think i will go...

Re: Thompson ISIS-2/40? Drawbacks?

Doesn't compare to the Octane on many levels. My buddy is in purgatory on one after shooting mine "against" his Isis. Thanks for the info! I have a TM Poseidon and is GREAT for its size. On that notion i got the giant SG-2 for my Sig MPX and JRC carbines, they seem to have a lot of mack p...

Re: Thompson ISIS-2/40? Drawbacks?

I have an Isis 2 in 9mm. I got it for 400 OTD with a gem tech booster from my local dealer. The Isis it self is a decent can. I haven't had it that long, but I have owed .22 suppressors for a long while. I have only taken it our a couple of times. It is stupid quiet with subs and does a good job wi...

Re: Liberty Mystic X- Video Review

BroncoAZ thanks for that information that is very helpful! The size and weight were some of my concerns with using this as a dedicated pistol can which is one reason I was sure to add in that detail. From the specs I knew it was about 4oz heavier than my Octane which is already pretty heavy, but if ...

While I know this thread hasn't had any activity in about 8 months... Anyone have the Mystic X? I'm thinking about buying one since I found myself in want of another 9mm can and they seem pretty quiet although a wicked FRP. Curious of how they compare to my current cans. I don't really care about th...

Re: Best dedicated 9mm suppressor host

its cheap for the springs, I'm curious about the CZ and a sphinx, looking at buying both soon and not sure about their ability to be quiet. I know they're not very expensive, but every time I get a package of gun parts my wife gives me dirty looks. I was planning on buying 1 or 2 springs to try it ...

Re: Best dedicated 9mm suppressor host

The sig226 mk25 or tacops are basically the same thing. I have a discontinued sig 226 dark elite TB. Its amazing.. Just has to swap out recoil spring on it for a 20lb one. Works better than my glock 17 which has more blowback. edit: so I swapped up to a 24lb recoil spring... Sounds a little better ...

I locked two guns up with FraudLube, it's garbage and I'll never use it again. Same here, and a friend locked up several as well. It'll never touch a firearm of mine again. Some say "You used too much" to which I say that should be impossible. Plus, I followed the directions to a "T&...

Re: Griffin 3-lug on an Octane...Yes

Trust me, I am aware of SWR and the SilencerCo history. Maybe not. SWR was initially founded by Joe Gaddini. Henry Graham, William Ellison, and I (Matt Pallett) took it over and improved, redesigned, grew the business until SiCo bought us out. Henry continued on with SiCo. I suppose I could have as...

As I was part of the development of the Trident and the Octane before SiCo bought SWR I think you are way off base, but that is my $0.02. I took no part in the development of either, just a theory. However could you provide more information such as your actual involvement in the development of the ...

Re: Griffin 3-lug on an Octane...Yes

Like I mentioned before, the Octane is primarily sold as a pistol silencers made to be used with a booster, in this design it also looses most of this expansion chamber via piston and spring. While there is some extra volume lost by completely filling this area i would say the loss is insignificant...

Re: Griffin 3-lug on an Octane...Yes

I wish I would've realized the Griffin worked on the Octane before I bought my SilencerCo mount although I'm not sure they were available then. The Griffin model is much more slick since it doesn't add the extra inch and a half like the SilencerCo model. Oh well, guess it doesn't hurt to have option...
