Re: Saw the mdel for the new Presidential lemo
The 'paint scheme' is a camouflage wrap, as used by all the car manufacturers while testing their new models. It hides design details from prying eyes. Rest assured The Beast will be solid black when delivered.

Hello good afternoon ! which would be the best option for a 270 win long diameter that kind of baffles always habalndo supersonica ammunition. thank you very much . For higher pressure supersonic rounds in .270 Winchester the traditional 60* cones would typically be used. There is a newer hybrid co...

Something along the lines of 'Welcome to the board' and 'we will need more information about your rifle, its usage, and your technical abilities/available machinery etc. before we can make any real re...

Re: 300 BLK suppressor cleaning?
Most people find that a can that's a little dirty is quieter than a squeaky clean can. Get an accurate weight of the can brand new, then you can weigh it periodically throughout its life to see how dirty it really is. I started out being anal about taking mine apart and cleaning it often. Now I spen...

Way too many baffles. You aren't giving the gases any room to expand and cool. Just my 2 cents.

Here is a link that takes care of your 17-4 heat treat of silencer parts with quality work at a reasonable price:

I just had two baffles done, and the quality is outstanding and the turn around time was very quick. Highly recommend.

Most would recommend the first and possibly second baffles be made of 17-4 stainless for strength, durability and erosion resistance.

3/8" from the tip of the muzzle device to the face of the first cone has been recommended on another forum I am a member of, and has worked well for me on 300Blk.

I slide a piece of wooden dowel rod down the barrel when drilling out gas ports. Keeps me from hitting the other side when I break through.

I found a flash hider that when screwed onto the barrel of my Mosin held the form 1 can almost exactly 180 degrees of rotation from where it was on the Mauser. After a lot of fooling around with the scope to get the rifle sighted in I finally got down to business with the good reloads. https://imag...

JHe has a new cone that will only be available through his service only. That is until someone posts a pic  He has stated he will be obscuring key details in the photos to make it more difficult for the cloners. That of course won't stop a purchaser from posting a photo. I assume he would be a...

Glad to see the sweat of Rusty's brow making a difference here also. He's an awesome gentleman, and has made some really beneficial findings and best of all, shared them. The DHC has made it much easier for the average Joe to produce a great sounding baffle. I know it has served me well.

I have been fortunate to not have any baffle strikes, launched components downrange etc because my moral compass doesn't align with "wait 12 months and send in 200 more dollars" for replacements but I am anti federal prison so I'm glad I haven't had to make that decision. +1 on this. I ho...

17-4 ph is what you want to buy - it is still freely machinable. Then heat treat to H900 - 900* for 1 hour, then air cooled to room temp.

Re: Heat treating, yes or no?
All of my research indicates 17-4 is very resistant to warp during heat treating. It is used extensively in the aeronautics industry - think jet engine turbines. Something that had issues with warping couldn't possibly be used for the extremely tight tolerances required in those applications. Most t...

Re: Heat treating, yes or no?
Would think case hardening or something shallow would be best and left pretty hard on the skin. Otherwise a good full hard and nice draw temper shouldn't be too bad. Depends what you are starting with, I haven't looked into heat great for 17-4 that I can recall 17-4 is easily heat treated to H900 c...
