Re: welded and riveted suppressor legally lengthen barrel?

Buy a long handguard and pin that. I've seen 10/22s with short barrels with affixed suppressor shrouds that don't require stamps because the shroud is permanently affixed and contributes to the OAL

I finally received my stamps for my SBR I built and my SilencerCo Specwar. SBR Specs: Anderson Lower Aero Upper Aero NiB BCG 7.5" Barrel JP Adjustable Gas Block 223/556 After getting my gas block adjusted to cycle my rounds, I really started playing and around and testing out the SBR and silen...

Re: My 4 year battle with AAC to fix a defective suppressor...

I have 5 Silencerco cans. I have had to send 2 back for problems of my doing. They repaird and returned them within 2 weeks, everytime. This is why I will not buy a suppressor from anyone but Silencerco. Customer service, customer service, customer service!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't agree more. I have had...

Re: The MK23 Mod O .45 cal SOCOM handgun

Yeah, I've read that the size and weight were intentional design elements. The weapon system was designed to be deployed in offensive close quarters scenarios rather than as a tool of last resort. The size and weight were designed to counterbalance the weapon and allow quicker follow up shots. It is...

Re: The MK23 Mod O .45 cal SOCOM handgun

Honestly, I don't understand the MK23. On paper it's amazing. It's got a great pedigree and a cool history and story. Then I got to handle one in real life and all interest in it faded. It is just too damned big to be useful for much of anything other than a safe queen.

Re: The MK23 Mod O .45 cal SOCOM handgun

Check out the HK45 Compact Tactical and the HK45T. I have the CT and I love it. It is my concealed carry piece. The MK23 is a massive firearm. Way to big to carry. The HK45 is a masterfully designed and built handgun. It is by far the highest quality firearm I've ever used and I've played with a lot...

Re: Picked up an hk vp9 today

I was going to ask why you didn't just buy the VP9 tactical, but you answered that. I thought about buying one myself. I have a heavily modified Glock 17, but my HK 45 Compact Tactical is by far the best handgun that I own or have ever owned and I have owned some nice stuff...

Re: Tirant 9mm or Rugged Obsidian 45 for 9mm

I bought the Dead Air Ghost M and I already have an Octane 45. I wouldn't buy a 9mm suppressor. .45 is more versatile and with an endcap change it can be just as quiet.

Re: 9mm vs 300 Blackout/Whisper Suppressed....bear with me.

Seriously though. I have both. If you are looking for a quiet, inexpensive paper puncher. The 9 is hard to beat. As others have stated though, the ballistics of a sub-sonic 9 worry me a bit, particular when you are talking about shooting at any distance beyond 100 yds. I believe the 300 is all aroun...

Re: How to break the bond of 242 blue Loctite??

Were you using a barrel vise? I've removed blue Loctite'd muzzle breaks a few times and it's pretty easy without any heat. It just takes a hell of a lot of torque which would be difficult to achieve without a proper barrel vise. If you don't have one, I highly recommend one. They are real problem so...

Re: New Tax Stamp Every Three Years?

Lol what did think he was talking about. He was obviously confused and/or just talking our of his ass. If you have a trust, your beneficiary doesn't even need a new tax stamp when you die. Your beneficiary's beneficiary doesn't need a new tax stamp. Assuming the laws don't change and your family sta...

Stupid bullshit lawsuits are a big part of what has gone wrong with this country. Good luck with your frivolous lawsuit. Nothing lasts forever and SiCo stands behind their products like no other.

Re: Ghost M

I paid in full 6 months ago so changing my mind isn't really an option. The thing is, I don't where this thing is in the process. it would be different if my dealer just said here's the deal and laid it all out there. I think he the sort of guy that hates to deliver bad news though. 6 months in, I d...

Ghost M

O.K. Here's the deal. I ordered and paid in full for a Ghost M way back in March (March 3rd to be exact). At the time, my dealer told me that his distributer had them in stock. It is now 6 months later and I have yet to fill out a form 4. My dealer apparently hasn't received it yet. I have emailed h...

How is my analysis not "on target". That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard. My statement was "no perceivable blow back through those slots" I know that there is no perceivable blowback because in all the houndreds and hundreds of rounds that I've shot, I've never perc...

Re: obsidian vs octane piston

All this talk about "blow back" from those slots is pure bs. I have an octane 45 and I can tell you, no matter which platform I'm shooting on be it Glock 9MM or H&K 45 there is no perceivable blow back through those slots. There is however gas which escapes the slide as it ejects and c...

Trust's don't have addresses. It doesn't matter where the trust was setup. you can have trustees in other states and it wouldn't matter. The form is filled out with the trust name and the address of the trustee who has primary access. "Maker. (1) If the maker is an individual, the entire form ...

Re: trustees possessing nfa items

I'm no lawyer either, but I believe you are supposed to notify the ATF in writing if the NFA item will be stored long term at a location other than what is listed on the trust. Any trustee can legally possess, transport and use the item though and I believe short term storage at his place is O.K. Ju...
