Re: 9mm host pistol recommendations
Since the Beretta 92FS works well and you like the gun except for no rail and fixed sights, what about a Beretta M9A3? Basically an FS with threaded barrel, rail, and removeable sights among some other upgrades. I would think it would be exactly what you seek

Re: Does anyone have any experience with OSS suppressors?
I got got my mounts Saturday and I went to the range the next day. Cons: Its was heavy at the end of a 10.5 barreled AR pistol, its a little louder then other rifle cans. Pros: Lock up was solid and POI shift was almost not there. I have a TiN bolt and it was still clean after that 100 round mag du...

Re: Does anyone have any experience with OSS suppressors?
Yes, I do have a couple other .30 caliber suppressors. I have a Rugged Surge 7.62 and and Silencerco Specwar. Tracking shows the OSS HX-QD Ti 7.62 to be arriving tomorrow! There is an outdoor state owned range here but i hate being at outdoor ranges in the frigid winter! LOL

Re: Does anyone have any experience with OSS suppressors?
Im in the Youngstown, OH area not too far from you in Pittsburgh. Im expecting the arrival of an OSS HX QD ti can any day now for use as a demo can. Once its here you are welcome to come out and try it out. They also made OSS over the barrel designs initially which were 2 piece cans and octagonal sh...

Since I recently got my AAC Illusion 9 suppressor, this is good to hear. I hope I never need them but its comforting to know their CS is good to deal with.

He can't run .45 through the AAC Illusion can. Its a 9mm can.YugoRPK wrote:Try it on a 45 out of a pistol. Kind of a let down. My Tirant on my 45 Colt Rossi 92 is pretty quiet but on a pistol its a little too much.
Go 300 BO or .22 if you want quiet.

I don't have a YHM can in 5.56 but will add that I have a YHM Cobra M2 can and YHM was awesome as far as customer service when it needed a repair. They also turned it around in under a week including shipping time! Can't beat that.

Re: Form 4 Trust wait time.
Just got my tax stamp yesterday for a Rugged Obsidian .45 which was originally sent in 8/2/16. Its my first tax stamp to arrive post 41F, literally 2 weeks short of a year! I still have other items in NFA jail. So far Im not seeing any improvement in the wait times. Figured I'd post in case it helps...

I have an Illusion 9 in NFA jail. Been waiting on it for several months like everybody else so I can't give you first hand experience with it yet. Im sure the Osprey is a fine can as well but the looks of the Osprey have just not grown on me yet. I still prefer the traditional round look for a suppr...

Re: What are the current form 3 wait times??
A few months ago I bought another suppressor and dealer to dealer took a bit over 2 months! Even those times got longer and longer, not just form 4's to us. I don't know where they stand now but it does not surprise me that the old quote of a month or so no longer holds true.

In case this helps you guys timing wise, I just got 2 tax stamps (finally!) this past week. One was for an SBR from 6/29/16 and the paper work is stamped approved 3/13/17. The other tax stamp was for a suppressor from 5/5/16 and approved 3/14/17. They both just arrived to me a few days ago.

Re: What are the absolute quietest 5.56 and 30 cal cans?
I dont know if its the absolute quietest can but look at the Rugged Suppressors Surge 7.62. It can be used on .308, 300 Black Out, .223/5.56. It can be used full length or shortened by the end user. It has interchangeable end caps for .30 caliber and .223/5.56 as well as the appropriate flash hider ...

I don't have either of those two. I have a YHM Cobra M2, Octane 45 HD, and currently awaiting approval for a Rugged Suppressors Obsidian 45. Have you looked at the Obsidian 45? It has some unique features and looks to be a top notch .45 suppressor.

Try Arlan's Guns in Kent, OH. Rick there is very knowledgeable and has a machine shop. They can cut and thread barrels for you, I've had him do a couple for me. I've bought various NFA items from him over the last 2-3 years and he has a several suppressor brands in stock. Rudy I live in Kent and di...

I have a YHM Cobra M2 in .45. It works well. Mounts are simple and cheap for it. It covers 9 mm, .40S&W, .45 ACP, and 10 10mm. I like it.

I've had some very poor customer relations with us machinegun and no longer do business with them. Further, there are many places out there that don't usually cost as much either. I'm curious, if you don't mind telling what the issue was? I only bought from them once, several small items including ...

Silencershop says that the rugged surge is everyone's new favorite. Did they also mention that Silencerco stopped doing bussiness with them and they can't sell you an Omega? I've purchased several cans from them, so I'm not against them at all. But unbiased they are not. When they got the boot from...
