Re: hearing protection act
OK so translate that for us...does that mean you are going to sit on your ass and do nothing or, if you really believe that, are you going to put your money where you mouth is and donate large amounts of money to the right people and get this done. I suspect, its mouth off and do nothing and let the...

76 co-sponsors in the House, only three in the Senate. HR 367 and S 59......contact your "congresscritters" and ask that they co-sponsor the bills. That will make sure that they energize their staff to read the bill and make a recommendation to their boss. Get them talking and thinking abo...

Re: hearing protection act
The Senate Version of the bill, S. 59 only refunds the $200 from 9 January 2017. I suspect that this will be the case when final reconciliation happens on the two bills, if they get that far. 115th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 59 To provide that silencers be treated the same as long guns. IN THE SENATE O...

Re: hearing protection act
I did not say "suddenly". Because the latest articles in the media are reporting that this bill will deregulate silencers, making it easier and faster to buy one. The majority of the public don't have any knowledge or basic understanding of or about suppressors. All they know and will eve...

Re: RECOIL Reduction WHEN Suppressed
It doesn't have an external muzzle brake, rather an internal. A silencer will reduce recoil by approximately 25% as recoil is about 1/3 provided by gas expansion out the front and the silencers job is to moderate that blast. An internal muzzle brake helps because it redirects the gas expulsion inter...

Re: Benefits of NFA as a trust, BATFE Hassles, Solvent Trap suppressors made even queiter
There's two different issues here: first, who can check the stamp. Second, who can demand to see a stamp by coming into your house. First: anyone can ask to see the stamp, but refusal could lead to different ramifications depending on who is demanding. Pretty clearly you'll get into more trouble fo...

Re: Benefits of NFA as a trust, BATFE Hassles, Solvent Trap suppressors made even queiter
According to the ATF (as explained to my store, a SOT dealer, by the ATF when I asked the question), only one type of agent, a BATF agent, is allowed to check your stamp, without warrant (court order). No other Federal, State of local jurisdiction has been authorized to check and verify a stamp in ...

Re: This May Become a Problem
Two in Form 4 jail (been 4 months so they should be out soon!) one arriving next week from Form 3 transfer and one just started the Form 3 wait.
Luckily I have access to use some while I wait for mine.
The addiction is horrible. No such thing as "One and Done".
