Re: Do you own a watch ?
I don't mind having a couple nice watches. Suunto Core for normal every day use, sometimes gets swapped with the Bombfrog. Bombfrog for diving use. There's no way in hell I'm gonna take a Submariner diving. Enough s--t happens under the water, I don't need to add losing a $5k watch to that. I've got...

Re: Electrical people - why is my hose electrified?
You need to get a licensed electrician and a real well guy to come out. 16v to ground isn't inconsequential despite the low voltage. At work we fault find at less than 1v. Also our lightning arresters were super expensive and we still pull people during t-storms because they don't always hit the arr...

Re: Do you own a watch ?
I wear one almost all the time. I just find it more convenient at work, and I can't carry my phone when I'm in my harness anyway. I'm so used to it, it feels weird not to have it. And u always have one when I dive.

Re: Not your typical box of ammo at the store
At that volume I'd want a better deal than $.52 a round. At $.62/rd for a case I would think that 12+ cases would get a better than $.10 discount.

Re: Need help choosing a new suppressed SWAT rifle
You probably could have saved some money by going with just a barrel swap with a reduced gas port. There aren't many "wear" items in an upper receiver. This also wouldn't limit you to using Noveske rails with the Switchblock cutout, you could use whatever rail fits your needs best. Replac...

I was under the impression that the rifle-to-pistol ruling only covered the Thompson stuff as it was specifically stated in the opinion paper. How does this deal with that?

Look like a way to mount a SIMRAD or some other similar CNVD-type device. Maybe throw a PEQ-2 on the side for funzies.

Re: Setting up a Pelican Case
I quickly learned that unless your setup is NEVER going to change, custom cut pelican cases are about the worst investment in terms of firearms storage. Aside from needing to buy new foam if your configuration changes, or cut it so loose that multiple configs work but let your gun slide around, the ...

Don't get a take-apart rifle can unless you're just going to shoot 300BLK subs. The only 762 cans I'd get right now are the AAC 762 cans, the Surefires, or the Specwar 762.

I've heard Disney is pretty fun (even for adults)? Aside from the asinine website block, did y'all have fun??? I've been wanting to take the kids there before they get too old and the "magic" is lost. "Magic?" Like this? https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/971...

Re: Looking into a R700 build... any downsides of 22" 1:8 tw
Any of the 175/8's have close enough BC's that realistically I don't think you'll be able to shoot the difference. Work up a load for each and keep the data on the best ones that way no matter what you can always load something accurate regardless of component availability, etc. I mean, if a 175 giv...

Re: Looking into a R700 build... any downsides of 22" 1:8 tw
You should be fine. I'd skip the 155's and 168's and stick with 175's for the super. You can give 155's a shot but it's still not going to buck the wind at long range as well as the 175's. 168's are just sorta there. Nothing wrong with them, but generally eclipsed by other bullets. Put the variables...

I'd say any number of cunning disguises. Since the grip is the removable magazine, once removed it looks like a random tube. There are plenty of places to stash a random tube. I'm really hoping someone will market one of these some day, or at least put a GOOD set of prints online. I'd really like to...

Re: The Truth About the DHS’ MRAPs
I looked at the contract on the defense.gov website. The contract states 2717 MRAPs for the Marine Corps, NOT DHS. I can't seem to find anything that actually shows DHS getting MRAPs from anywhere other than that single website that "broke" the story to begin with.

Read the NV beginners guide either on ARFcom or Snipers Hide, then call Vic at TNVC. Gen 2 is passable IF you have extra IR illumination and are cool with shorter range and lower resolution. For many people it is perfectly adequate. However, Gen 3 is worth the cost, whether dedicated scope or PVS-1...
