Re: Beretta M92 Solvent Trap
Has anyone created a "Solvent Trap" style silencer thats ejects the spent shell, cocks the hammer, and loads a new round for a Beretta 9mm 92A? My attempt has resulted in a good noise reduction while firing a subsonic 9mm round, but it never ejects the fired round. I've tried replacing th...

Re: End Cap Strike
Bore was 9/32 and here is some more info. 516, 16" m4 profile barrel with 1/7 twist. The ammo was bulk m885 green tip. This was the first test other than a few sound checks in to a berm. I looked down the barrel before and after with and without the can. The brake is shimmed and has rocksett. T...

Re: End Cap Strike
I was attacking it the wrong way and got the cap off. It looks like the last two baffles got tagged too. Now I'm real lost on how to fix it. http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/rich93ds/guns/86454332-6BEE-4A2D-9931-04150DB9B8C6_zpsxgljoc6w.jpg http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/rich93ds/g...

End Cap Strike
I took my ar to the range for the first time and rezeroed my eotech without the can on. I put it on and it was not even on the a silhouette at 25 yards. After it cooled and I was home I got out a light and checked everything I could see. And I don't know about the baffles because I can't get it back...

Re: 5.56 Titanium Freeze Plug Can
Well I could not live with the multi colored suppressor. I picked up some 2000° vht header paint and painted it last night. I baked it in my bbq grill to cure the paint. So I think it's finally finished. http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/rich93ds/guns/B574A3E3-BFD9-4747-9EED-CC8FD131FF71_zps2...

Re: 5.56 Titanium Freeze Plug Can
Small update- I got some subs from Detroit Bullet Works and sent a few down range. I can not believe how quiet it is. I can shoot them out the back door the garage and you can hear it from the door to the house

Re: Form 1 Engravings
Sorry for no update... As it turns out, I definitely need to do something about the engravings. I can see them... because I know where they are. Part of why I went with the VHT (other than the cost) was that it is supposed to be reasonably robust, some kind of ceramic base to it, so I don't know ab...

Re: Shims and Rocksett problem
I always clean with 90+% isopropanol as the last step and blow dry. Then get the treads wet with Rocksett ... 2 drops seldom enough ... but be careful not to get any in the bore. I often put a patch into the bore and make sure it shows out the end of the muzzle. Then I heat it some with a heat gun ...

Shims and Rocksett problem
I'm trying to get my brake on so I can use my suppressor but I'm having issues. I got a AAC shim kit and rocksett from brownells last week. I tried installing it yesterday but I'm running in to some issues. The only combination of shims that got it close was bearly tight (hand tight) but after readi...

Re: 5.56 build log update on pg 2
It's late and I got it finished but I did not take any more pictures. I'll have more tomorrow. I did three rounds of m855 ball with the gas system off in the field where I shoot. I've never heard a commercial suppressor before so I can't say to how quiet it is but I did it without earpro and it was ...

Re: 5.56 build log update on pg 2
I'm going to clip all but the first and last to start. I'm in for the long haul tonight. I'm starting the anodizing right now. I'll try and keep this updated http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/rich93ds/guns/020620D9-A060-4E80-AB31-E9C307A31C64_zps5ci0jexr.jpg Is the watermelon a secret ingred...

I just picked up everything to anodize all of the titanium. I will be posting progress pictures and everything I used. I'm hoping to get everything except for a test fire done tonight.

Re: 5.56 build log update on pg 2
I was looking at the drawing and layout of everything and if I move the coin baffle within a couple millimeters of the brake I can fit another formed freeze plug. That would leave me with the blast chamber being the area around the brake. Before I cut my spacers I wanted to get some opinions. Would...
