Re: Double Jeopardy.
Double jeopardy protects a person from being tried a second time after being found NOT guilty. Being convicted of the same crime twice is not double jeopardy.

I use the FRF(?) radios available at most sporting goods stores. They work really good when you and another are scoping out a large gun show.

IIRC there is a "sticky" on Form 1s that addresses this.

Re: Salvo on an A5
The barrel recoils back into the receiver. Hanging a silencer of the front would really be a drag on the recoil system.huanab wrote: why would it not work? Is it because of how the gun cycles? (recoil/gas/inertia driven ?)

How much thickness does that add? Would a tight chamber become un-usable after coating?propeine wrote:h&m metal processing

Reasonable with a fast turnaround. Or find a smith that gets stuff nitrided regularly.

Re: Med-Large Caliber K-Baffle Design for Subsonics AND High Velocity Ammo
Ey Guys, A few topics down in the silencersmithing forum, I read about using K's with cones in a .308 build, and I was just curious as to how .308 and higher calibers' K-baffle design differs, if it does differ. I'm not looking to waste any metal just yet, but I'd love to hear from some guys who've...

Very interesting. The requirement to notify ATF of any changes to your trust after approval has been dropped! I thought for sure that was headed for a court battle on 10A grounds. Looks like ATF concede that one.

And that dangerous site seems to point that direction also. I've no horse in this race and no experience with such ammunition, but glancing through the discussion and noticing the mention of a 'dangerous site' made me curious. Firefox usually nails things like that, protecting me. And my AV is up t...

Cool, which ones are those? I'd love to get some. bryan litz created bullets for berger that are explicitly designed to be transonic stable. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f19/whats-most-stable-transonic-bullet-70648/index2.html#post494399[/quote] Tried to check it out following the link at...

I've seen something similar posted here before. It was a take off of some strangely named design from long long ago. Wish I could remember what the term used was. IIRC it was discussed in the thread about the Tesla Valve.

2 separate issues here......Trust and how it is setup.....and the NFA blessing on ownership through said trust. I have seen perfectly legal trusts that were not approved for NFA ownership. Thing to remember is that even if it is legal for a trust to add remove or do whatever DOES NOT MEAN IT IS LEG...

Re: 41p rule announced
I am already talking to my attorney on Friday about something else and will ask her about the Trustee piece and adding and removing them. My trust is myself as the grantor and then I can add/delete trustees whenever. I am sure she will at least have an early opinion as she is one of the top firearm...

Re: 41p rule announced
A serious question here; As I understand the rule, trust has to submit fingerprints for everyone who is a trustee when the trust acquires or transfers a NFA Weapon. So what is to stop someone from forming a trust with them self as the only trustee, acquiring NFA toys, and then restating the trust a...

Re: 41p rule announced
Other than the little bit of legwork to get fingerprints and photos for the trustees, I see this as a good thing that the CLEO sign off was removed. There were many CLEO's refusing to sign even though state law allows citizens to own NFA items. I live in Idaho and the CLEO has to sign it unless the...

Re: Optimum muzzle velocity for subs?
The bullet is also rather unstable in the trans-sonic stage. Accuracy is not so good. The 1050 goal is a bit dated. Most now shoot for 1010. this is dependent on bullet design. there are bullets which are specifically designed to be 100% stable through transonic range. Cool, which ones are those? I...
