Re: Finally jumping down the NFA rabbit hole
Picked up my Revolution 45 a little over a month ago. Really like it. Just need to figure out a way to brake the piston housing from the extension so I can change between the long and K configuration at the range.

Re: How many .22 shots through a .30 suppressor?
I'm interested as well in this thread. Just want to introduce my daughter to suppressed shooting on something she is familiar with. An AR upper with a 22lr conversion bolt.

Well I've applied and treated my Recce 7 with a small squirt and I've been heating it and rotating it every so often to ensure thorough coating. I will make sure I have all excess out of the can before I shoot it.

Well I was thinking I could shoot it but the sot is a Pawn shop and not a gun shop/range. So this post is moot. Sorry. Admin can delete

How far have you driven for a conjugal visit?
Hey folks...I've got Monday and Tuesday off and just wondering if it'd be worth my time to drive an hour and a half to visit my Recce 7? Yes it's my first can. How far have you gone to visit your can while it's in jail and was it worth your time?

Re: Frog Lube
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm relatively new here and just found this. I've used FL exclusively for over 4 years now and can't say enough about it if applied correctly. I've got a Recce 7 in jail now and I'm interested to see if anyone has tried Frog Lube in their can. I'm not talking ab...

Re: Griffin claims on 17-4 SS
Another post from GA on the ARFCOM thread I cited earlier.... 17-4 has a melting point ~125-150F higher than Stellite (this is often an indicator of strength to temperature), it also is twice as strong (heat treated 17-4 to Stellite 6). Erosive wear is a mechanism of failure in baffles over the long...

Re: Griffin claims on 17-4 SS
I'm not sure I read better than Stellite. I saw lighter than.......If I'm not mistaken, Stellite is an industry term and it's a different type of stainless alloy. I could be wrong, but that's my impression.
ETA....Yes they do say twice as strong. Not sure how they quantified that statement.

Re: Griffin claims on 17-4 SS
From a Griffin Armament post on ARFCOM.... Our current heat treated 17-4 baffles are approximately twice as strong as stellite, and are lighter per unit of volume, so stellite is exponentially heavier for equal system strength. There are some really horrible options in the stainless alloy family, bu...

My forms were done in the mid 90s if that matters.
