Re: blast chamber to rear of muzzle?

The extra volume would certainly help in the blast chamber. I'd been thinking about building one that would have the end cap threaded for that larger step up and a wagon wheel looking threaded support that threads onto the muzzle threads. this would also help with having the same volume with the bal...

Re: what projectile to use in 300 WSM for deer subsonic

I have some expanding bullets from these guys http://www.blackoutbullets.com/ . I have the AR15 ones for 300 blackout, and testing into milk cartons full of water look just like their test picture. Loaded with IMR 4227 and going through a 10.5" barrel and suppressor they come out to ~995 fps. h...

Re: WI court applies Heller decision to knives

In Colorado it is legal to concealed carry a knife up to 3.5", but there is no limit on open carry length. The only exception is that you can have a hunting style knife longer than 3.5" concealed if you are out hiking/camping/something like that. Basically it is so that you can have a big ...

Re: Big win in Senate against Obama's gun control agenda

being placed on the terrorist watch list doesn't require any due process and anybody could be placed on it without them being notified or allowed to defend themselves. Some people consider the NRA a terrorist organization, suppose all NRA members go put on the list. While it would make obtaining gun...

Re: Multimount Fixed barrel THREADMOUNT questions

the fixed mount i have just replaces the lid but with the piston as a fixed piece. I think they sell a spacer that takes the place of the spring so you can convert your LID to fixed for $15.

Re: Flats!

I always ran stan's no tubes sealant in my tires. Mountain bike as tubeless setup, road bikes got it in their tubes and I even put it in tubular tires(the kind you glue on, mostly for racing). Goat heads get sealed right up and I even once pulled a piece of barbed wire from my mountain bike tire. Th...

Re: Sbr ar. For 1 question

Trust name, city and state on engraving, something like this. SUPER NFA TRUST PLACECITY, TX For registration, what the firearm you're manufacturing is what the details will be. Longer or shorter later on, doesn't matter so much. For a 10.5" 5.56, a 5.56 SBR with a barrel length of 10.5" i...

Re: good AR 5.56 upper and lower ..

LWRC rifles are super bad ass. Piston driven and full ambidextrous, but pricey. They're more of a buy it and be done with it gun. Most of my experience as a dealer has been with AeroPrecision uppers and lowers. They have standard mil-spec lowers for good prices and they also offer short throw safety...

Re: Multi caliber SBR questions

Just pick a caliber and bbl length for your first build. You don't need to tell them what other configurations you plan to use. You do, however, need to be able to return the rifle to the registered configuration. Length does not matter, aside from being <16". You can put any length bbl on it,...

Re: Ultrasonic Cleaner

I haven't used a ultrasonic cleaner on my suppressors yet, but I have used one a lot to clean greasy bicycle and other parts (until it broke). They work amazingly well for that. Anything on the cheaper end will probably be about the same whether harbor freight or name brand, as they are all probably...

Re: This May Become a Problem

I went the dealer/manufacturer route myself. I want to keep everything that comes through my shop. Have had to limit myself to a few demo pieces... can't be getting high on my own supply :) well, maybe a little.

Re: Well that was interesting ...

This is a bit concerning. I noticed a while back that it seems like they were clearing out their 2 lug mounts. Perhaps this is part of why? I happen to have one of these that I have on a .308 bolt gun and was looking to get mounts for and AK, .30cal AR and ptr91.

Re: best starter lather for learning

I'd go for an older/used American lathe over a new import any day. They pop up on craigslist often for good prices. Ebay will also have a good selection, but they tend to be more expensive and you h ave to deal with shipping. I bought my first lathe from an estate auction that was only a couple hour...
