Re: POI and why it changes or not

The bullet has to push air out of the way when its traveling through a suppressor, if the bullet is passing through an asymmetrical baffle, it is easier to push air away in some directions than in others. This creates high and low pressure zones around the bullet that push it off course. The muzzle...

I am appreciating everything. Will the dual hybrid clip cone work with the 300blackout as well as a K baffle?

Re: 300blk blast chamber size (I searched)

Put the tip of the first baffle 1/8 - 1/4" off the muzzle. With no muzzle device you should be able to get an extra baffle in the tube.

Re: SD Tactical can

I am interested in D cell SD tactical suppressor. It is my hope to form 1 something suitable for the following calibers: .22lr 9mm .40sw .223 300 blk I would prefer to use freeze plugs, as I do not have a lathe. I scanned this forum and could not find a build using an SD tactical D tube and the cal...

Re: best .22 semi auto for suppressor ?

With a few mods and polishing, the 10/22 will cycle anything. Also remember to use some Scotch Brite on the inside of the receiver to smooth it out as well. Liquid Wrench dry lube is also recommended instead of oil.

Re: "Happy" 13th everyone

FNG here ... lots of talk about 41F rules, but I've seen nothing in writing. I have trustees 1,000 miles apart so not sure what to do. Someone here in another forum mentioned starting a 2nd trust with just himself on it. I'll probably do the same to keep it super simple until things settle down. Dr...

NEGATIVE. As long as it is submitted or postmarked prior to Jul 13 it falls under the old rules. It does not matter when they look at it.

Re: Freeze Plug questions

Legs will have a tendency to spread. If you drill holes in the skirt, leave it looking like a cage. As far as a freeze plug slipping inside of a spacer, if that happens then your spacer is too big. A proper spacer might flare a little on the bottom as the stack settles but the freeze plug will not i...

Re: 308 muzzle brake ?

>335 sounds mighty close. Better make sure that the bore is perfectly concentric with the threads and can when installed. Most people use .375 for the baffle holes. Some go as high as .390.

Re: 300 blackout build

Saying there isn't any gains past 9" is pure BS. I have chronographed about 150 fps difference between my 9" pistol and 14.5" rifle shooting the same handloads. The manufactures claim that longer than 16" you start to get diminishing returns. Considering most of the light weight...

Re: ACCURACY WITH SUPPRESSOR

Go with the simplest things first. Take scope off and make sure everything is tight and use blue loctite as stated above. Make sure to push the scope mount as far forward in the picatinny groove as possible before tightening. Remove the silencer and go shoot it warm, cold and hot to see if a pattern...
