Re: SBR Transfer advice
Theoretically, couldn't the seller remove it from the scope of the NFA by removing the barrel or stock? Then he sells you a title 1 firearm. So instead of the form 4, you'd do a form 1... The problem I see (other than what you're going to do with the "illegal" barrel while waiting for the...

Re: Price of suppressors IF Hearing Protection Act is passed
I'd anticipate this causing the price (and quality) of the 'average' suppressor to drop like a stone. Manufacturers and buyers have less legal hurdles and less time waiting around. So a can would not have to have the features we are used to. User-serviceable, extreme materials, extreme strength, gre...

Then there's no worries about waiting for forms or the possibility of the buyer getting denied and wanti...

Re: Suppressor recommendations for 300BLK SBR?
While I am still waiting on my Omega, I EXPECT that the build I have would meet all those criteria. See my 'evil grey rifle' with some details here: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/evil-black-rifle-pic-thread.104559/page-34 The side charging receiver has no rear charging handle but a trapdoor whic...

Change in Rules on 41F
http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/07/15/tfb-exclusive-41f-qa-with-the-batfe-nfa-branch/ TFB did a Q&A with ATF. This really stuck out to me: TFB: Do entity documents, fingerprint cards and photographs need to be submitted with each application, even if the applicant has submitted an approv...

Re: When 8 rounds per second seems slow
Went out shooting with my dad the other day on fathers day. I have a slide fire stock I got in trade a while back. No machineguns in my state. slapped it on one of my SBR's and shot it with the 762 specwar. The silencer worked great or as good as any silencer does on a 5.56 . It just seemed like it...

Re: Form 1 SBR status update question
NFA tracker says I was supposed to get it by the end of this month but Its over and no stamp for me... I had a buddy put one in at the same time and he has his back already (He did a little AK for mounted use on a RZR with a 90round drum and a can. (We were getting a lot of concussion below without...

Re: Rem 870 sbs barrel legallity
Can you do it? Probably, yeah. Should you? Well... Different question. Only 2 nfa-based constuctive possession events that I am aware of. The Thompson Center case that went all the way to SCOTUS, and the arrest of Jesus Amador in FL. (if anyone knows of more please post) The T/C case had SCOTUS rule...

Eforms site down?
Have not been able to log onto the eforms site since Tuesday. I'm still getting the Wednesday outage message.
Anyone else having the same problem?
Anyone know what's going on with it?

Re: SBR Build for Omega Questions
Cool, thanks for the reply. I'm still trying to figure out all the legal verbiage for SBR build. So can I build it as a 300 blk and switch it to 22 on the same stamp? Do you know where I can find SBR build for dummies. I decided to build from scratch with a new lower, and keep the Ruger as is. Oh a...

Re: SBR Build for Omega Questions
Mainly a range toy. I only recently got into guns and shooting. My goal is to build something light, that will run cool, and be fairly quiet. 22lr I'm putting together a 300blk sbr, and before I even have it finished, before I even bought any ammo, I am starting to plan a 22lr upper build. The 300b...

Re: getting SBR engraved.
It is illegal to leave a firearm at a shop that does not have an FFL. It is considered a transfer, and also throws the shop into the wind and can get them charged as acting like a gunsmith without a license. Wait, really? Is that based on local laws? As stated before, without the barrel attached, i...

Many people use a muzzle brake mount as sacrificial blast baffle.

LOL, Unbeleveable... You spend money you don't have, rush to get something you're not ready to get because of 41p? By this logic you have no plans to ever buy anything again, right? You guys realize how absolutly absurd this sounds? Really guys take a deep breath. There will be no cleo signoff, tha...
