Re: Approved form 1, Assembling SBR without tax stamp in hand?

I'm going to wait, I was simply curious. I had an idea though, I could call my examiner and see if they can email me a copy, they did upload my wife's fingerprint card and form one via a secure system as a PDF. And they shut that down haha. I just spoke with them, I need to wait 30 days after they s...

Approved form 1, Assembling SBR without tax stamp in hand?

Just got off the phone with the ATF, Form 1 has been approved!

Any reference to assembling the weapon without the actual tax stamp? GCA and NFA only mention needing approval. Just curious? Thanks!

Re: Form 1 (Trust) returned?

Haven't received it yet, called my examiner and he said if I don't see it by Friday, to give them a call. It pisses me off, because my wife's fingerprint card was evidently included!!! Social and DOB right on the card. Pisses me off. What happens next? Do they have me reprint the forms with correcti...

Re: Form 1 (Trust) returned?

Are these forms returned via USPS? Does the ATF select tracking?

USPS in my area is horrendous, lost several packages in the past 2 years. What happens in the event a package is lost?

Thanks!

Form 1 (Trust) returned?

Form 1, applied as a Trust, went pending on January 3rd of this year. Got a phone call today from the branch chief, stating that my form was being mailed back to me today. She said something about not providing a signature and my wife needed to provide some additional documentation. When we applied,...

Re: NFA/GCA item repair.

Have you read the NFA Handbook? Seems like the methods of "repairs" you're talking about would obliterate the original serial number. "This publication is not a law book." Aside from looking at USC for anything on repairing, I also read the handbook. The handbook mainly talks ab...

NFA/GCA item repair.

I started thinking about the legality of repairing an Title II firearm in a hypothetical situation. I believe what the ATF has on file is bull$hit to be honest, and the only thing they have on file is their own "Question and Answer series" about the legality of repairing a silencer. They c...

Re: These damn ATF wait times for trusts/llcs!

My congressmen's assistant which conducts most of the outreach to these government agencies said the ATF processes forms on a first come first serve basis. I inquired directly with the ATF about this, and they claim they do in fact process forms on a FIFI basis, but gave some excuse about the indivi...

These damn ATF wait times for trusts/llcs!

Submitted a form 1 December of 2016, ATF has an acceptance date of Jan 3 2017. Filed as a trust, two person. Still PENDING WTF. What in the hell is going on? I called to inquire and usually get the run around. Noticed that folks that filed form 1s and 4s as individuals are approved quicker than trus...

Re: NFA Lawsuit

"Is the goal to get scotus to overturn the NFA?" I would say the primary goal is to greatly reduce or even eliminate waiting for transfers. Especially for individuals who already passed a background check. Anything additional would be great. "Is the goal to get the ones in charge of t...

Re: NFA Lawsuit

There are several lawsuits in a few States over their 10-14 day waiting period. One ruling I came across was from a federal judge (Anthony Ishii, a Clinton Appointee) who determined that California's 10 day waiting period was unconstitutional. Justice Ishii claimed that the waiting period violated t...

Re: NFA Lawsuit

Initially looking at the NFA and GCA, there seem to be various portions that are not addressed. Time for processing being one of them. I firmly believe that a ridiculously long wait time for transferring/making title 2 items is unconstitutional. A portion being found unconstitutional could lead to a...

Outreach to H.R.38(Concealed Reciprocity) Cosponsor for supporting H.R.3799 (Hearing Protection Act)

The concealed carry reciprocity bill has 209 cosponsors!!!! 216 are needed for a simple majority!!! The hearing protection act has only 82 cosponsors... We need to reach out to the cosponsors for carry reciprocity and urge them to support the hearing protection act. I will eventually work on getting...

Spoke with an attorney who specializes in firearms law with a proposition over a lawsuit concerning NFA wait times. Other challenges to the NFA have been unsuccessful and have tested different portions (the tax itself is one example). I have a feeling that a challenge using these current wait times ...

I appreciate the responses!

How long was the wait pre 41p? My friend has 6 stamps, but his most recent one was approved two years ago. He said he got a stamp back in 2011 approved in several weeks! My first form 1 was submitted December of last year :(

Post 41p wait time estimates?

I was wondering if any of you folks had an estimate on NFA wait times after pre 41P submissions are processed?

I've heard of form 1s being approved in two months! Granted this was back in 2010 evidently.

Everything I do is 100% legal, I see no harm in discussing ideas and hoping for a reference of laws that can enlighten. Some people suggest that, such is illegal and such and such is illegal... Where is it in writing? Similar scenario, during my decade in the military, we had senior NCOs say things ...

So I think I got something... Any written rules pertaining to the diameter size of baffle and endcap holes? Submitted a Form 1 for a .223/5.56 suppressor not too long ago. If there are no written rules pertaining to the suppressor diameter, here is what I had in mind... -Form holes slightly bigger, ...
