Re: Anyone have copy of delisle blueprints/
Dazed and Confused on fal files used a go gauge and then used avery sticker paper on the back of a new piece of brass to use as a no go. I took a new piece of .45 brass and added layers of white Avery adhesive labels to the base till I got exactly 0.920". The Avery labels don't compress like m...

Re: Anyone have copy of delisle blueprints/
Just and FYI Rudy @ Macon armory told me +.003" Headspace is ideal for pistol calibers to allow for brass length indifferences...unless you plan on trimming your brass identically

Re: Anyone have copy of delisle blueprints/
Thank you for the offer garredondojr. I will be using a 45acp conversion barrel and mag adapter from Rhineland. The barrel headspaces much like the savage with a barrel nut so I doubt I should need a chamber reamer, but I'll send you a message if I do. I would definitely take you up on a headspace ...

Re: Anyone have copy of delisle blueprints/
well I spent 15min typing a elaborate post and it got wyped. don't feel like typing it again. General gist was to do a 17-4 tubeless k-baffle stack welded together (like the dead air mask or aac hylocan baffle) do it small diameter that still fit into the tube this will give you your 1 stamp gun. th...

Re: building custom buffer for suppressed 9mm AR?
There are a couple of companies who make extended heavyweight buffers that address this issue. in addition to spacers. many have used quarters in the buffer tube as a limiter.

Listened with headphones this time and wow the N310 is quite a bit quieter than the wolf.
Hopefully you can get the N310 closer to 1k and close up the groups!

Re: Group buy 60* cones
cool deal. I'm not in the market but a few other spec's people may want to know is. thickness@skirt and baffle, current temper spec (a, h900, ect...), and base diameter (ie. where the cone is flat where the bore will be drilled....going with something that is nominal for say a 22 caliber can will gi...

Re: Internal ballistics
If you use no filler you are not adding any extra weight. This. If you add a small register to the baffle so it's a lap weld you won't have to worry about backpurging and just fusion weld the stack together. There are a few on here that have made some nice homemade orbital setups with a variable sp...

Re: Internal ballistics
Hmm without adding weld weight ive got a 1 1/2 added up pretty close. Blast chamber weight is pure estimatiom though. No doubt his can is light as hell Shouldn't be any "weld weight" Fusion welding should be sufficient if you cut your baffles correctly. but if you can do a tubeless full 1...

Re: 9x39 project
I didn't cut the rib in my mag. I did use SS mags though. garredondojr - I rented a 357 Herrett reamer from 4D Reamer Rentals, and am very satisfied with the results. It worked well enough that I did it again for another set of barrels (I've made 4 of these, two 10.5" and two 16"); the ch...

Re: Internal ballistics
That is crazy impressive. My questions are actually geared towards my tubeless ambitions. Use would hopfully be one or two shots over a day for deer and hogs I doubt you could get the weight as light as ECCO's going tubeless unless you did the rest of the stack aluminum and threaded baffles which w...

Re: 9x39 project
Sounds a lot like my 358 Herrett, same idea. I used Green Mountain blanks too, but in .358" diameter because I wanted the faster 1:14 twist and planned to use .358 rifle bullets anyway. (IIRC when I did mine the .357" were only in 1:20 twist or slower.) I built mine mostly to duplicate 20...

Thats pretty impressive. One thing I don't think that factors is burn rate which can influence #'s somewhat. I cheat.... quickload https://i.imgur.com/dxMPgkLl.jpg It's hard to see the cursor but it's at the muzzle exit to the "chamber pressure" reading is at that point so 13k psi at the e...

Re: 9x39 project
Thanks. I can't take full credit for the overall design though. The basic principle has been in effect for many years now in England. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS6fGmYl-fM As for cutting off a bolt carrier so you can add a folding stock, there is a guy on youtube doing something similar. Only...

Re: 9x39 project
Looking good! LIke what you did on the charging handle. I may have to steal that idea :) Another one of my project plans it to make a manual action upper like your doing and cutting the BCG just past the firing pin so I can put a true folding stock on it (no protrusion past the receiver) thus making...

Sounds like one of my crazy projects lol. I however pan to do the vintorez'esq build on the AR platform with a ~9" barrel and an pinnned/welded faux suppressor tube with some nagant iron sights welded onto it that will be large enough ID for my 9mm form 1 to fit into. I made myself a "cher...

It is strongly advised that you wait till you have an approved form 1 before buying components. But if your impatient just know you can't drill anything till you get your approved F1 or your playing with fire!

Pretty sure he's talking about his five x five can. I'll let him elaborate the why as I have no clue.
