Proposed NY Law Outlaws Body Armor

Those fun-loving legislators in the New York legislature determined in their minds that only the police need body armor; and anyone else with body armor is a would-be criminal. If passed (with no grandfather clause), the first offense is a Class A misdemeanor and second offense a Class E felony. If ...

I would prefer that you also hold the subsonic test to a constant to see the dropoff of speed for subsonics too as the barrel is shortened. You can always change the cartridge powder charge for the subsonic load at the shortest barrel length to achieve 1050 fps to compare it to the 16" barrel. In be...

Re: AAC and its future

AAC along with other brands (DPMS, H&R, Stormlake, AAC, and Parker brands) was purchased by the parent of Palmetto State Armory, with the intent to continue those brands--according to news releases about the purchase.

My guess is that they are currently scrambling to formulate a plan of action.

Dividing up Remington's Assets, who gets what

(below from numerous links) I think it is good news that the parent company of Palmetto State Armory purchased AAC and DPMS (important to me) as well as Stormlake as noted in the list below. With good management, AAC and DPMS can become thriving brands again. On September 29, 2020, final approval fo...

Re: Hunting Rifle Questions

It looks like others haven't answered your questions, so I'll offer a few opinions. 1. A good .30 caliber silencer will work very well on all the hunting calibers you mentioned(30.06, 308, 7-08, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .243)--1 silencer for many rifles. 2. The threshold for sound safety is below 140 db, ...
