If im not mistaken unless you make your own suppressors they are restricted up there. So, that would mean the guy who just turned 21 and got his own suppressor for a 22 has more expierience than you. Correct me if im wrong but you just talk alot about s--t you read about in a book. You are wrong my...

Yeah. Gemtech or any other company is free to come here and run the same contest. Bwahahhahhahhahha. Like that'd EVER happen here. You are trying to hold it against AAC for being an active company in comparison to other companies. I'm not trying to hold anything against AAC. They have every right t...

Why is any contrary opinion automatically "bashing AAC"? Go back and read each of my posts in this thread. I never once said anything bad about AAC. In fact I think I said they make a fine product, which is hardly bashing unless the goal of the board is all posters must slavishly promote A...

If you really have a lot to share in the wider world of silencer technology...come the Silencer Seminar and offer a presentation.
You know I would except I'm not all that interested in 20 year old technology.

That is what people choose to talk about due to where the action/energy is in the silencer world. Maybe in your world but there are lots of other things going on in the wider world of silencers. It does not hurt credibility of information posted any more than talking a lot about Canon digita...

I didn't say the contest was bad. AAC can do anything they want to promote their business. My issue is that this "public" forum is really becoming blatantly AAC centric, which just hurts the credibility of the information presented and discussed. So lets just be open about it and rename th...

The P22 had the 5" target barrel
OK, thats pretty close. Usually the P22 has a much shorter barrel which will definately affect sound reduction.

The shorter barrel of the P22 will make it sound louder. Try swaping the cans and see how that goes.

This is the first AAC suppressor rebuild contest. Submit a photo of your crappy suppressor from any other maker. Explain what you do not like about it, and which AAC suppressor you wish it was like (same caliber). We will pick one and rebuild it for free. We will photo document it along the way. Th...

That IS a Reflex Suppressor from Finland. We sold those cans to the CDN Army. And I have actually shot one of their rifles with the can on. 8) http://www.canadiantactical.ca/Images/McMillan50.jpg This is a spec sheet on the can, it lists dimensions, weight etc. Unfortunately that can is not hearing ...

OK, the first one is nice but the rest are just nasty. :( One of the best things about this day and age is nicely shaven women. That nasty hairy thing is awful. I wouldn't put a rifle barrel in my mouth or my ear so why on earth would I want to see some girl put it in her unshaven cooch? The ...

are you an engineer, educator..etc? Phffft. No. I am just a student of silencers and by association the sound silencers are trying to dampen. But a shock wave is not "audible" so it cannot be called a loud "sound". While it is of similar construction to a sound wave, it cannot b...

One of the problems with "hearing" very loud events is that the pressure wave can travel through the skull and impact the auditory nerve and hearing structures of the ear from inside. Is this "hearing" the sound? Maybe, maybe not but it can certainly damage the hearing.

However, the point is that he is not following mil-std. Give the guy a break, he is just starting out and learning as he goes. The sound from the muzzle of the can expands in a radial front. It looses intensity at the cube root of the distance from the source. Then it reflects off of an overhang. This reflected sound then hits the mike after loosing intensity by being reflected, and also loosing intensity at the cube root ...

Videotaping means nothing. You could put grease in one before the test.
Uhhh, you'd see the plume of coolant out the muzzle if that was the case so in fact videotaping is of a benefit.
