I have a 22lr can. Most times I can get 22 standard velocity. Much quieter but not quite as much punch.

Re: Obey Turning In Your Firearms If Ordered
Unless they do weekly thorough searches, people like myself with basic shop tools will make the own, unlicensed guns and ammo too. Might not be a John Moses Browning full auto, but then again it might, but it would work. Build my own suppressor too. Prisoners make primitive guns now with much less.

Re: Best suppressor for 6.5 creedmoor
I would say stay away from aluminum baffles. Hard to clean. The "dip" eats aluminum and is poison. Sonic brass cleaners work a little but I'd stick with some type of steel or titanium. Cleaning one is different than cleaning your barrel. Try to find an independent comparison review source ...

Common sense gun control. Something like death by a thousand cuts. Little bit at a time.
You youngsters that it will affect over the upcoming years, get out there and politic, pay for ads in the paper, post on forums, get the truth out to those who don't know guns.

of my rifles with a vibrating type engraver. All her stuff, including her TV got carved. Something she picked up from some journal as a means of identifying stuff if they got stolen. She has been dead 32 years now and don't think she is worried about her info getting hacked :) . I have left the two ...

Re: Help Please! 300 Win mag suppressor advice
A 300 Win mag, even suppressed is still going to be loud. If hunting, probably not worth the added weight. Seems like I read about these ear plugs or muffs that only turned on when noise hit them, meaning you could hear the crunch or rustle of a critter approaching. I personally have not tried them....

A little bit off topic but still on body armor: At a gun show a couple years ago, a vendor had these for sale. I did not buy but found out later body armor has an expiration date like milk. Probably says "best by ?/?/??".

"The dip" will cause damage to any aluminum, and can be dangerous to your body. Creates lead acetate. Do some research and learn how to use it. There is a lot of subjective, bordering on false info on the evaluation of a certain suppressor and loading combination. Example, if you get the N...

300 BLK is a SAMMI round where-as Whisper is not, therefore you can lookup SAMMI loading information for rifles and find a lot of useful information. My primary reloading manual is Lyman 50th edition Reloading Manual. I have an 8 inch 300 BLK AR suppressed and cannot tell the difference in it and a ...

Either Trump deployed the National Guard in all 50 states and D.C. to deal with his own people, or the National Guard is taking orders from someone other than the President of the United States. My understanding is the governors of each state can call out the National Guard. In this last event, Maj...

"Death by a thousand cuts" is accurate. Several years ago, 18 year olds were given the right to vote instead of then legal age of 21. The excuse was they are dying for their country i.e. in war zones. Do you mean the 1960s? It's always been 18 since I can recall. Voting by 18 year olds. U...

H.R. 5717 bill that restricts guns
I was following up on an article by Alan Korwin in the Jan/Feb issue of American Handgunner. Anti-gunners are reaching over the top. In effect, makes the Second Amendment null and void. Requires an annual background check of everyone in the Federal database. You will need a Federal firearm license t...

I failed to mention we still have to pay a drug copay, depending on the drug and how it is tiered. And a healthcare copay depending on what it is billed.

I probably should not be dredging up old posts "but" this is the election season. As an example, I am 70+ and my wife is 65+. Both retired or more correctly, to old and beat-up by working all my life to work anymore. Our combined income is less than $50K a year and that includes Social Sec...

I have a SWR Warlock that comes apart. Doesn't weigh as much as a minute. Don't buy one. It is all aluminum. Next to impossible to clean. Takes a dental pick and wire brush, and a lot of time. I have it currently on my Walther P22. I have thought about leaving it on until it carbons up solid, then t...

I have an older .40 cal handgun. My thumbs are arthritic enough now that I cannot cycle the slide the usual way. This gun has a grip safety. My issues with anything other than a single shot is ancillary noise is going to be a factor if you want the quietest possible. It needs to be sub-sonic, and not have a lot of cycling noise, and not be a wheel gun with gases escaping at the cylinder gap with the barrel. I have seen bolt action pistol...

I have used plumber's teflon tape before and worked well. Problems come from putting to much and really tight and getting it where the can meets the barrel building up causing an alignment problem. You still need to check to make sure you have not shot the can loose after 4-5 shots. Never had any me...

The so called mainstream media carries a modicum of blame. They seem to salivate on fear and wild-eyed viewers that cannot take their eyes off the national news (as well as their commercials). The more shocking, the better.
I just don't watch news much. Seen one, you have seen them all.

Re: Building a multi caliber form 1 suppressor
If you don't plan on shooting subs you most likely will not be satisfied with a suppressor. The difference between subs and suppers is like night and day. Also bolt closing on an AR is loud. Go with a bolt gun, or single shot or adjustable gas block on an AR that you can close all the way making it ...
