I have seen silencer/suppressor bodies made out of old car shock absorber cylinders . They look pretty strong, the ends were welded on then threaded. The last one I played with was on a BXP 9mm carbine, a bit loud to my ears, probably poorly designed internals. Nothing wrong with experimenting... ho...

I concur, I also spaced the baffles differently in combination with using different baffle types in the same stack, spectacular results (to my Mk1 Eardrum). .... wish I proper metering equipment like you guys. Suputin, do you have any laws prohibiting shipping silencers internationally? I emailed AS...

I spoke to Gavin yesterday, he would prefer to speak to you himself about the design of his silencer and about any pics being posted.
His email: [email protected]
I can only post pics of the outside of his silencer.

I seriously doubt if it's a silencer, why would anyone silence an artillery piece? Assuming it can be done. Besides doesn't look like the silencer can elevate or depress, so it would have to fire from a fixed elevation, which wouldn't be of much use in combat. I'd hazard a guess that it could be bal...

Introduction: Suppressor fanatics from South Africa.
Just wondering if there might be anyone more "furriners" on this forum. This is the only website with useful information for chronic suppressor fanatics like myself. Thanks to rsilvers, this is truly a GREAT service, and to PCArms for assisting with the pics. We in South Africa do not have...

Apparently, it can with prolonged use, but I am no expert. I heard that the force of firing transfers the stresses to the frame, causing failure. At what round count / load I don't know. Hence some manf building Recoil Boosters. I have fired over 500 subsonic 147gr rounds through my Glock 17 with a ...
