"Multi" is fine for non-NFA firearms. If a manufacturer wanted to mark more than one caliber on a silencer they'd need a marking variance (or mark them anyway and call the extra numbers decoration).

Re: Mexican Drug Cartel Allegedly Puts Price on Ariz. Sherif

Didn't widespread use of narcotics and mind-altering drugs virtually destroy the productive midde east during the colonial period? Seems to me the same thing would happen here. Screw the middle east, it happened here. Laudanum, opium, cocaine, and especially demon rum were all in heavy use in the U...

Option 3 worked. Manager / owner exceeded yours and my expectations. He actually appears to be correcting the situation. I am very happy with the way this worked out. Posted above because I do want the good to be know as well as the bad. I'm glad I was wrong, though I do wonder if that would have b...

Re: SBR: Make or Buy?

To bring closure to this question, I'm going to quote it. So, let's go ahead and address the elephant in the room... What are the legal ramifications to owning an "improperly registered" SBR lower. I'm considering an SBR down the road, and the route I was going to go was buy the lower, then buy the...

It's not, but some companies haven't gotten the memo (or disregarded it if they did).

Re: Traveling with class 3's across state??

Alright my question here, say I'm passing through a state that is SBR friendly with my SBR, I fill out a 5320.20 for my destination state. Do I need to fill out a separate one for each state I'll be passing through as well, or can I list multiple states on one form? If I can list more states on one...

All 3 of my other C3 items s/n's were listed on schedule A when they were sent in, so why the change or does my examiner (Dana Pickles) not know what is going on. Not that this is a big deal to change these items but the 4a thing kinda throws me. Diomed????? Never list a Form 1 silencer on a trust ...

Re: Petition for another registration?

Oh yes, let us pardon everyone with illegal firearms and just continue to screw those who follow the rules. It would be very much in line with the way we have handled taxpayers and non-taxpayers. Amnesties are necessary though. There are issues with the accuracy of the registry (a bit overblown in ...

Re: What "Conditions" Are Ever Made With An Approval?

I really hate this SBR now..Wouldn't it be registered as all these calibers now? Isn't the rep just gonna tell me what it says here? Not really. The computer record only allows one caliber to be entered. You can consider that the "official" caliber. When the rep looks it up, that's all they'll see ...

Just look at how far marijuana has come in the past 30 years since it was a felony to possess. But marijuana liberalization has had what amounts to popular media support for going on four decades, to the point where it's almost, almost, accepted as being normal. Guns are demonized and fetishized, m...

Re: What "Conditions" Are Ever Made With An Approval?

The lower is stamped "Multi" for caliber..The approved form 1 now has .22, 9mm, 45, 223 listed.. What should I do? The form should have only one caliber in the relevant box. If in doubt, call them and have the customer service rep see what caliber the gun is registered with in the system. My advice...

Any pet loads for factory 77/44s?

Anyone have any loads they like for subsonic .44mag in a slow twist 77/44? Especially jacketed bullets (i.e. Hornady 240gr. XTPs).

Mainly looking for a starting point.

Diomed is more than welcome to correct me or add anything to this prerogative. Just that the number of examiners is slowly increasing. It has to be a DEWAT or else altered to the standard of a DEWAT (bolt welded to receiver, etc.). If it's just broken it is still servicable.

Re: What "Conditions" Are Ever Made With An Approval?

I'd be interested in a gun lawyers take and if it is in fact legal to specify any other naming conventions, and if so, if it is legal in the eyes of the ATF. Not a lawyer, but ATF's take is that the regulations specify only recognized abbreviations may be used. Their interpretation is that only pos...

Re: Petition for another registration?

A limited amnesty has been on the table and come very close (very close) to getting done. It would have applied only to firearms eligible to have been registered in the last general amnesty though, so no registrations of converted SCARs or Saiga 12s would have been accepted, just the Tommy gun in gr...

Meh, Rangel introduces this bill every session. IIRC he's even voted against it at least once. It's purely a political tactic - formerly to embarrass the Bush administration over claims of the armed forces sending poor minorities off to die, now it's probably a wacky attempt to divert attention from...

Was also curious about velocity, as I've been looking that up online - some people report bulk stuff staying ...

You have three options. You can comply, you can leave, or you can ask to see the manager/owner who will probably back their employee, leading back to a choice between options one and two.

Re: Moving to N VA. Looking for intel on Anti-Class 3 Sherif

You can make an after hour appointment to shoot fullautos there. They move you down range closer to the backstop. Very few people have been allowed to do that. They're pretty non-responsive to those requests. But they are indeed fine with other NFA stuff. I've heard of people having issues with AOW...

Suspects in custody.
