Re: Looking for General .30 Cal Purpose Silencer
Our CGS Hyperion 762 fits the bill. It's the quietest silencer you can buy for supersonic sound reduction by a significant margin, and unlike many other silencers it doesn't sacrifice subsonic sound reduction to achieve supersonic sound reduction. The POI shift is very minimal and on/off shift repea...

Re: 300blk Suppressor suggestions
Good info thank you. I did some digging into the Hyperion and it doesn't seem like it's been out too long. Very little info on it though it does look very nice from the info that's out there. What's CGS's timeline for suppressor mounts and the Hyperion QD? When are you going to ship to SilencerShop...

Re: 300blk Suppressor suggestions
If it's for subs specifically, and you want the best in sound reduction for a good quality silencer that's properly welded, buy a SIG SRD762Ti direct thread with the thin (~.04" wide) weld beads. Alternatively, our CGS Hyperion 762 is right there with it in sound reduction for subs and the Hype...

Re: 45 Cal Suppressor Design Review
I find this strangely too coincidental and the fact they just loaded that video 3 days ago.....wow To those suspecting it, the OSS RAD 22 silencer is not a rip off from here. Out the front stuff has been done since at least the 90s by the Russians and coaxial expansion chambers have been done for y...

Re: Switch Back .22 Silencerco
I like johndoe3 picture of a suppressive loudener aka (rifle optimized)......ha...haw. Capt. Link, Silencerco claims a significant noise reduction, for a rifle length barrel, where the baffles are flipped in the outer most portion. They claim it is a breakthrough in silencer design, and for a rifle...

Re: CGS Group Kraken 9
I just watched a fairly lengthy video about the CGS Group Kraken 9. I know it's hard to tell a lot about silencers in videos, but from what I heard, it sounded really good. I was just wondering what you guys could tell me about them since it was the first that I had heard of it. Oh, here's the vide...

Re: CGS Group Kraken 9
Yeah, the disparity between CGS's advertised figures and what the Pulse said was a nearly identical difference between my B&K 2209 outdoor numbers on my Phoenix (124.7) vs. what Pulse read out. Most things do seem to meter higher on the Pulse than a 2209, but we'll have to wait for the outdoor ...

Re: CGS Group Kraken 9
... Which data are you referring to? The Kraken wasn't released until October 2017 so you may be referencing a pre production model. The data I'm referring to is from August of '17 and most likely shot in the wide open outdoors. Pre-production or not the numbers are identical to what Ecco posted. U...

Re: CGS Group Kraken 9
This. The Kraken is a game changer. I went up to Cheyenne to do some metering with Ray & Chad from TBAC, they were testing one on the pulse. While the numbers aren't as low as claimed by CGS, they's well under any other 9mm can. With American Eagle 115 gr, 133.91 milspec average, 140.14 shooter...

Re: AAC SR-7 Baffle Strike the first week of the ownership
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing a baffle strike. The jagged looking edge you're seeing is the clipping of the baffle. Half of the first bit of the cone is cut off to create the clip. The baffle has 8 pressed in flutes and the cut from the clip cutting into those flutes is what I'm seeing. But...

Re: This forum is getting a bit snarky
Paco Ramirez left with GaLeo. They were buddies too, and when Galeo left -- due to an extraordinarily vigorous round of cop-bashing -- Paco left too. And yet we still tolerate it. Those were some real good people to lose. Much better as contributors than the resident bashers. I still talk to Paco. ...

Re: Need Help Identifying 1800's Colt Revolvers
The octagon barrel revolver is identified as a Colt Model 1851 Navy. The round barrel revolver is identified as a Colt Model 1860 Army. I plan on getting a letter through the Colt Archive Service for these guns. That way I can see where they were originally shipped and all of that stuff. I've heard ...

Lol yup. I brought them into the gun store I worked at and every single customer that saw the Colts thought it was really Jesse James' gun. It was entertaining.driver6814 wrote:What was it P.T. Barnum used to say?

Need Help Identifying 1800's Colt Revolvers
Figured this thread would get the most exposure here. I bought these a few days ago for very cheap. Both are definitely from the 1800's. I'm trying to identify the models and determine their value. These are the only pictures I have for now, I'll attempt to get better ones soon. This one with the oc...
