Re: Suppressing a .257 Weatherby Mag.
I hunt with a .257 Wby necked up to 6.5mm (6.5/257 Wby) I use a Thunderbeast 6.5 Ultra 7 and it sounds great. Hearing safe. Light weight. With the best modern designs, there is no need to go up to the 9" can.

Re: AAC Element(1) tube thread pitch
Does anyone know the thread pitch for the AAC Element(1) front and end cap ? Same question SWR Spectre(1) Thanks Unless you are an 07/02 it doesn't matter as you can't have extra silencer parts and only 07/02's will need that to make a replacement. I understand that. When I contact an 07/02, it may...

Re: 9mm can
I like the looks of that rifle! What loads are you running through both suppressors? Right now Im using a Berrys 147gr RN, mixed brass, 3.6gr VihtaVuori N320, CCI SPP, 1.15 OAL. I would definitely send the can back to SilencerCo. They'll take care of you. I was thinking maybe you have the baffle st...

Sad to see Henry go. I go way back with him and SWR. Best customer service ever. Seems like just yesterday the Spectre came out. What a revolution in .22 cans that started !

Re: Chronograph Question
I recently got the one made by Competition Electronics, I am thrilled with it. It always works. Before I had a more expensive PACT and it was a POS. Go to Midway USA and read the reviews on all the chrony's. CE had the best reviews by far, and IIRC it was only ~$99 or so.

I am very happy with the 3bucc Inc Brass-savr for ar flattops. Have ~95% catch rate, very few malfunctions, etc.

Re: .44 Mag Subsonic. Updated, HORNADY 240 XTP
Haven't shot the 77/44 since my last posts on this thread. Plan on taking it out soon with some slower powders and trying magnum primers. Hopefully, more data to come soon....... Again, from the other thread. ***** Tested loads out this evening. Nothing big, just rabbits. Recovered from a rabbit sh...

Look in the handloading forum. There is a thread about this now, and it also references an older thread I started with ALOT of 44 Mag subsonic load data.

Re: 44 Mag loads - can they get better?
Yall want a pic of the earplug case jammed between the can and the end of the stock, or the more permanent fix I come up with ? On another note, I spoke to Doug at SRT again today. I have an extra 77/44 wood stock. I may send it to him to bore out for the can, but oversized so the can and barrel wil...

Re: 44 Mag loads - can they get better?
Sanding the burrs, alone, did nothing. Placing a temporary pressure point at end of fore-end shrunk groups by 1/2. (ear plug box .032" thick). Will make a more permanent fix, then evaluate further. Looks good so far. 5 shot group at 50yds went from 2.2" to 1.12" IIRC. Only had enough ...

Re: 44 Mag loads - can they get better?
I started the other "44 mag Subsonic" thread some time back. Don't have any new data since then, kind of lost interest and moved on to other things. I also have the SRT/Douglass combo. I'm getting interested in it again, so hope to resume load development soon. I was also not satisfied wit...

Re: Rifle and midlength don't work.
Is it just me, or is something wrong with their brass forming procedure around post #15 ? They describe necking FL .223 cases up to .308 in steps. Sound like they're leaving it full length. Have they ever even done this before ? Sounds like they're making it up as they go.

Re: Thunder Beast 30P-1 vs. Liberty Freedom
Me and a customer recently shot the Cyclone and 30P-1 side by side on 20" bolt guns (.308) with the same ammo. Neither of us could tell a difference in sound reduction. They were both just a little quieter than my older SCAR-H SD. (to our ears)

Do they offer dealer pricing on these, or are they the same price for everybody ? I have a customer waiting on F4 for his Ti-rant. He'd probably buy one.

Re: the "new" element and the "dip"
Let me start by saying I sell and recommend more AAC cans than any other brand. The M4-1000 and 2000, the 7.62 SD, the Cyclone, the Ti-rants. With .22 cans, I consider the Element and Spectre the top 2 choices. Most of my customers are not as well-versed in current cans, as the people on this board....

Re: SHOT / 2011 rumors?
If AAC really is going to do an integral Ruger Mk III, I hope it is completely aluminum free (the can part) SS or Ti only. Dipable. And it should sound at least as good as an Element on a 4" Ruger.

Re: MP5 or H&R M16..Advice appreciated
Once you get it, there are a few things you can do to preserve the resale value : Strip the lower down to the bare receiver and use replacement parts (trigger, buffer tube, buffer, etc) as to not put wear on the originals. Get an accu-wedge to eliminate play between your uppers and lower. If shootin...
