Re: .357 in a 9mm Can
I'm looking to do a similar thing except I'm trying to get a hold of a Marlin 1894C in 357 to put my Octane 9 on. I've seen several posts in this forum and others where someone from SilencerCo has stated the Octane is capable of handling 357 mag. As for other companies I would reach out to them to ...

.357 in a 9mm Can
Ok, so the max CUP is 35000 for the .357 and the 9mm is 35,000. so, why can't I shoot .357 Mag out of my Mk9k? If I open up full auto with my Ti Bolt in my Uzi at >1600 rpm that would SEEM to exceed any pressure that would build up slow fire with a .Bolt 357 Mag. Reason I ask is that I want to get a...

Re: Suppressing dedicated .22 AR uppers. Disappointing?
My Tac Sol M4 Upper with a Spectre on it is really quiet. Its not Bolt gun with Subsonic quiet, but its plenty quiet enough. Winchester Dynapoint (which is the only bulk pack standard velocity .22LR ammo that I know of) will stay subsonic in a 16" barrel and so will any other standard velocity/...

http://www.topduckproducts.com/ http://www.sharpshootr.com/no-lead.htm Kroil Varsol Kerosene Call Manufacturer if you're really screwed up. I've talked to Henry at SWR and Mike at AAC. They both said that you don't have any shortcuts here. Either you use the dip, or a bead blast cabinet, or you jus...

You are bound and determined to make me reconsider my Specter purchase aren't you?[/quote] Don't do that my friend. The Spectre is still the best multi-caliber suppressor out there. I still like it better for heavy FA use as well. You really need both. I think the Element really shines on a handgun ...

Re: Hunting
Ripper, Surprised your state allows hunting with a suppressor, here in Missouri, the hunting regs prohibit it. Still waiting on ATF to clear my Spectre for a 10/22 and Beretta Neo host gun. Chris Can you please cite reference? Here's how it works: there IS no reference if it is legal. There is only...

I think the reason a suppressor strings shots is that after the dreaded .22 crud builds up, the bullet just kisses some fouling and the bullet gets ever so slightly deflected gyroscopically as its exiting the suppressor. Not enough to get a baffle strike or anything that dramatic. Just a hypothesis....

I get stringing with my Spectre/Paclite as well- BUT ONLY if the suppressor is really gunked up. If I keep it clean it seems to tighten my groups up with either handgun or rifles. There will be a small POI change with suppressor on/off. I sight my guns in with a cool barrel and a cool suppressor. If...

I have a MkIII 22/45. I do like it, but there are mods I think that need to be done. I like to tinker, so that is not a problem for me. Some mods are very easy to do. I have big hands and don't mind the thin grip, but I will be adding my own G-10 1911 grips. Jeremy This is a good website for that: ...

What do you do with the endcaps on something like a Spectre where the endcap is permanently attached to the last baffle. Will it take the black anodizing off of the endcap. How about the threads? Thanks for all the advice-keep it coming. It is not permanently attached just hard to get loose sometim...

My deepest sympathies to both of their families. :( I'm an Airline Pilot now, but I've been a Bush Pilot in Alaska and a Test Pilot in the past and I can tell you that its a myth that driving to the airport is the most dangerous part of your trip. For commercial, part 121 airline flying that is 100%...

Bead Blast Cabinet For Cleaning .22 Suppressors???
OK, so everytime the thread resurfaces on just how bad "the dip" is for you, I decide to stop using it. I've treid all the other methods and they don't work for s--t. The only other way, I hear, to get your suppressor clean is to bead blast it. This also creates its own set of lead exposur...

I use a respirator and chemical gloves. Also, get yourself some cheap kitchen tongs to pick the baffles and parts out of the dip with. The leftover solution is very toxic, but can be made inert with salt (which is dirt cheap), or so I hear. Can somebody verify this salt thing who has a chemistry bac...

The Buckmarks are great. Nice trigger and accurate. Super easy to swap barrels (one screw, not tied to the receiver) easy to take apart and clean. Great shooting pistols. The Ruger is a quieter host and there are a ton more after market parts available. The Camper model will be the cheapest Buckmar...

Buckmark runs cleaner. The breach is open on both sides like the model 41 Smith that it copied. So the lead solder blowback doesn't build up quite like a Ruger does. The Ruger is going to be quieter because the one side of the Ruger is enclosed. Only the ejection port is exposed. Rugers build up le...
