I see your 40a1 and raise you two 40A1's and a M24. The top one is a clone on a return stock. The middle one is real, Sn. 1684XX. Both are sporting new Schneider USMC contract barrels. It's the base for Redfield Palma rear back up iron sights, also notice the base on the barrel for the front sight.

Blue printed Remington 700 is a bad way to go. What nobody ever talks about is barrel removal on a blue printed action, the scope base screws have to be cut so there is no penetration into the receiver threads. I have a few nice used 14" entry barrels. They do have the factory sights on them. 250.00 shipped.

Have done a few, some AL most 304. Just cut them with a torch (keep the guts if you want) the full length. I tend to add a few extra cuts to make sure all markings are removed. Send a copy of your form 2 and a detailed letter to NFA saying that you want it removed and how the destruction was done. I...
