Take it in and offer to pay a premium if he'll do it while you wait.... Otherwise, he's backed up WEEKS.
I'm pretty sure Derek does not have the KAC wrench.

The pentagon is for an allen wrench, I really like this idea better that the external thread and a protector, I would use a filler when firing sans the suppressor. Anyway they have them here. http://www.apexhandguard.com/store.php?seller=ApexMachiningCompany&pd=96853#images That's not a pentago...

Re: Adaptation Methods

Thanks for the help. TROS doesn't list an adapter with that configuration, but probably would make up one to order. Now, as to the first question: My question: Can the muzzle be threaded accurately with the barrel installed in the receiver or must it be removed before indicating/putting it on the l...

Re: Pelican 1510

A few years back, The wife and I took a trip to Hawaii. We didn't have any luggage at the time, so we went shopping. She came back with an expensive soft side suitcase, to the tune of $250. I bought a im2720 Storm case without foam for $130 with their lifetime guarantee. I ended up with a better pie...

I'm a pseudo-machinist with 8 years of practice, but very little instruction.(no professional instruction, anyway.) I can thread barrels all day long, no problem. I'd like some input on threading tools, especially the tool material type, coatings, etc. What tool type would be optimal for different m...

Re: The RS AKOG, AKM and AKS optics mounts

After months of frustration trying to find a quality side mount for my AK-105 clone I decided to get off my lazy duff and engineer one. The RS series of mounts is the result. They will use existing side mount platforms for compatibility with all com-block AK and SVD/PSL platforms. They will be made...

Is the part a casting or forging? I have a feeling it's a casting.
Notice any porosity when welding?
If you could somehow add mass to the op-rod or increase the spring weight, you might have better luck.
