Re: Problem Status Question

Thanks for the advice, I just called and the receptionist patched me through to someone, not sure if it was the examinier or another assistant. Either way, the form is on its way back to be fixed. Apparently, I failed to fill in my name in the CLEO certification box  My fault on that one, but ...

Problem Status Question

I just called to check the status of my first transfer, and apparently they just sent me out a notice of problem status today. I asked the receptionist if she could tell the reason and she said the CLEO needed the the transferee's name. This doesn't make any sense to me, this was an individual trans...

Re: Ever get ripped off by a class 3 dealer?

Not really ripped off, but still had a less than pleasant experience. I made the mistake of trusting my dealer to order two suppressors back in March. I called to check after a while, and was told that they were ordered, but were waiting on shipping from the manufacturer. Fast forward to October, I ...

This is why the trusts should be drafted by a lawyer who knows the law and understands your desire and intent. I agree 100%. I know lots of people are using the lawyer-in-a-box, and people assume that because the ATF is reviewing the trusts, everything must be fine. The problem is what happens down...

I don't think I'd spend that on a ballpoint. Now if it was a fountain, I'd buy it. I used to think expensive pens were ridiculous, but once I got hooked on fountain pens, I understood. For you guys interested in security of signatures, there is nothing better than some of the new fountain pen inks. ...

Maybe I do, but I don't think so. I'd like to agree with you, but I'm not convinced.

I'm thinking it may be something he had to include to get 4 others to join his opinion.

I agree with your interpretation of Miller, but I'm still uncomfortable about his use of language "of the kind in common use at the time." He really seems to make the point that those types of arms are not in common use by civilians, hence the Second Amendment doesn't apply. To me, the obv...

Civilian arms "of the kind in common use at the time." That's the problem phrase. Scalia notes it once or twice in his opinion. He even says the Second Amendment does not apply to short barreled shotguns. The way I read it, the paragraph about the M-16 assumes that bans on them are fine. I...

Good choice. I wasn't impressed with the full auto AK that I tried out. The M-16 was was more controllable. Although, I think I'd consider a 9mm sub gun.

That was reckless, not negligent. I'm not sure what California's laws say specifically, but sometimes recklessness (which is a more serious mental state than negligence) can support a certain type of murder charge. The other possibility is "felony murder" which is basically the death of an...
